Sometimes it can be difficult to tell how someone is actually feeling, from the outside in.

Subtle changes in someone's behaviour could be a sign that they may not be feeling their best. They could also appear happy but are fighting a battle within.

A conversation can make a huge difference if you notice a change in their behaviour.

How did you feel today? ☺️😮‍💨😣🥰

Physiotherapy plays a huge role in improving the quality of life and safety of our older clients by improving balance, strength and mobility. No matter what age we are, we all deserve a chance to live our fullest life possible and as a physio I am proud to be able to contribute towards this.

April Falls Month

Did you know that regular exercise which includes progressive balance exercises can reduce your falls risk by 40%??!! Considering 30% of people aged over 65 have a fall each year, I think a little bit of exercise is well worth it!

Physio is a great way to reduce your falls risk and improve your quality of life.

As we travel this wonderful country of ours, we often come across these painted blue trees as a reminder of the importance of mental health.

Remember it’s ok not to be ok.
Remember to ask the question - R U Ok?
Remember to never be afraid to ask for help or to talk.

R U OK??

Today (and every day) we need to remember to think about those around us. Not everyone’s battles are visible. R U OK???

Today (and every day) we need to remember to think about those around us. Not everyone’s battles are visible.

R U OK???

Whatever they're carrying, show them they don't have to carry it alone. Are they really OK? Ask them today.

Learn how to ask at www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

Thanks to the talented Jangandfox for helping us share this important message ahead of R U OK?Day on Thursday 💛

Happy World Physiotherapy Day 2021!!

Even though I am taking a short career break whilst exploring this amazing country, I will always support the work that physios do and the positive impact that they can have on a patients life. I have a particular amount of respect for those colleagues working hard in the ICU and Respiratory wards within this ever-changing world of COVID.

1 in 10 of all COVID-19 cases will exhibit Long COVID symptoms for a period of 12 weeks or longer.

Today is and this year's theme focuses on rehabilitation and Long COVID, and the important role physios play in the treatment and management of people affected. Safe and effective rehabilitation is a fundamental part of recovery, which is tailored to the individual, depending on their symptoms, goals and preferences.

We would like to call out all physios across the world, and thank them for the incredible job they are doing alongside their frontline worker colleagues. We cannot thank you enough.
