💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today at Narangba Community Aged Care, we honour the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have shaped not only their families but the wider communities we all belong to.

At The Vue Community Aged Care, another one of our For Purpose Aged Care homes, we were privileged to witness meaningful moments shared between fathers and their loved ones — a heartfelt reminder of the strength and love passed down through generations.

From all of us at Narangba and across For Purpose Aged Care, we thank every father for their love, guidance, and lasting impact on family and community life. Today, we celebrate you.

At For Purpose Aged Care, we know that regular exercise is a vital part of healthy ageing and our residents are loving our activity programs. We offer a wide variety of daily exercise.

Options like chair yoga, Zumba, physio led exercises, seated soccer, balloon tennis and strength classes. Residents particularly enjoy morning walking group, whether it’s sunny or a crisp winter morning in VIC/NSW,
our residents love starting their day with fresh air, movement, and great company.

It’s not very often we have the opportunity to see a resident in their element but when we do it’s pretty special. Resident John previously a radio commentator with 40 years of experience enjoyed a visit to Silver Memories along with fellow resident and close friend Richard. John spent time on air reminiscing with Ronnie and Richard was thrilled to see the classical CD library. Thank you so much Mark and Ronnie for your hospitality we look forward to next time.

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of our residents, we are excited to introduce a therapeutic baby doll to our home at Narangba. Doll therapy has been shown to bring comfort, reduce anxiety, and spark joyful memories, particularly for residents living with dementia. The presence of the baby doll can provide a sense of purpose, promote nurturing behavior, and encourage meaningful engagement. To make this experience even more special, we will be holding a lucky dip for residents to help choose a name for her—adding a fun and inclusive way for everyone to feel involved in welcoming our new addition. So far the names in the lucky dip are Eloise, Penelope, Stephanie and Charlotte.
What do you think we should call her?
Massive thank you to Sara from Cherished newborns for donating this gorgeous doll to us!

We are only four days into the NY 2025, and we have already had a busy week of activities. We held a concert, enjoyed walks, exercises, bus trips, games and welcomed the NY with a fun happy hour. We have lots of fun and exciting activities and events planned for this year 🥳.
