🌸 It’s Women’s Wellness Week! 🌸

This week is all about pausing, reflecting, and honouring the incredible strength and resilience of women—body, mind, and spirit. 💕

Wellness isn’t just about eating well or moving your body—it’s about creating balance in all areas of life. From managing stress and nurturing mental health, to supporting our bodies through changes like perimenopause, pregnancy, or recovery, women’s wellness is unique and deeply personal.

✨ Some gentle reminders for this week:
🌿 Check in with your body – Notice how you’re really feeling, not just how you think you should feel.
🌿 Prioritise rest – Rest is not lazy; it’s necessary for healing and energy.
🌿 Nourish yourself – Food, hydration, touch, movement, and laughter are all forms of nourishment.
🌿 Seek support – Whether it’s through massage, community, or connection, you don’t have to carry everything alone.

At Just Breathe Massage Therapy, I’m here to support women through every stage of life—with treatments that calm, restore, and reset. 🌸

💌 This Women’s Wellness Week, give yourself permission to slow down, to breathe deeply, and to put yourself first—even just for an hour. You deserve it.

💖 How are you prioritising your wellness this week? Share below—I’d love to hear your rituals and self-care practices.

5 Signs You Need a Lymphatic Reset

1️⃣ Persistent Bloating or Puffiness
– Feeling swollen in the face, belly, or limbs? Your lymph may be sluggish.

2️⃣ Heavy or Achy Limbs
– That “dragging” feeling in your arms or legs can mean fluid isn’t moving properly.

3️⃣ Low Immunity or Frequent Illness
– If you’re catching every cold going around, your lymphatic system may need support.

4️⃣ Sluggish Energy or Brain Fog
– A congested lymph system can make you feel tired and mentally foggy.

5️⃣ Slow Recovery After Surgery or Injury
– Swelling and stiffness that lingers could be your body asking for extra help.

⸝

✨ A lymphatic reset through manual lymphatic drainage helps your body clear waste, reduce swelling, and restore energy—so you feel lighter, brighter, and more you.

“Women are often the caretakers, but who’s caring for them?”

We pour so much energy into our families, friends, and careers that it’s easy to put our own needs at the very bottom of the list. But the truth is, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Caring for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Your body deserves rest. Your mind deserves stillness. Your soul deserves nurturing.

✨ Massage, meditation, sauna, journaling, even a quiet cup of tea—these aren’t luxuries, they’re lifelines.

When women make their own well-being a priority, they show up stronger, calmer, and more present in every other part of life.

📌 This week, ask yourself: What’s one way I can care for me?

✨ Why we love the infrared sauna ✨
It’s more than just heat — it’s healing. 💛 Infrared warmth works deep in your muscles and joints, boosting circulation, easing tension, and leaving you glowing from the inside out.
Think detox, stress melt-away, skin glow, and pure relaxation — all in one cosy session. 🛋️🌿

For those who like the facts check below! 👇

Infrared saunas are popular because they work differently from traditional steam saunas — instead of just heating the air, they use infrared light to directly warm your body from the inside out. That difference brings a whole list of potential benefits:

1. Deeper tissue heating
Infrared waves pe*****te up to a few centimetres into muscles and joints, so you can get relief for stiffness, soreness, and chronic tension without the air feeling unbearably hot.

2. Increased circulation
Your body responds to the heat by boosting blood flow, which can help carry oxygen and nutrients to tissues — supporting recovery after exercise or surgery.

3. Gentle detox support
Sweating in an infrared sauna may help the body expel small amounts of environmental toxins, heavy metals, and metabolic waste through the skin.

4. Reduced inflammation and pain
Infrared heat may calm inflamed tissues, making it popular with people who have arthritis, fibromyalgia, or muscle injuries.

5. Stress relief and relaxation
The warmth helps lower cortisol levels, relax muscles, and encourage deep rest — much like a warm hug that lasts 30 minutes.

6. Skin health boost
Increased circulation and sweating can improve skin tone, promote a healthy glow, and help clear pores.

7. Lower perceived heat stress
Because infrared saunas run at a lower air temperature (often 45–60°C vs. 80–100°C for traditional saunas), many people find them more comfortable and easier to tolerate.

Why MLD is More Than Just a Massage!

“It’s not just a treatment—it’s a healing journey…”

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) isn’t about a quick fix or a moment of pampering—it’s about guiding your body back into balance, supporting its natural detox pathways, and nurturing the mind as much as the muscles.

Each gentle movement helps reduce swelling, ease tension, and encourage deep relaxation, allowing your nervous system to shift into healing mode.

Over time, clients often notice not just physical changes, but emotional ones—more energy, less stress, and a renewed sense of connection to themselves.

✨ True healing isn’t rushed. It’s a journey, and every session is a step forward.

When was the last time you checked in with yourself, truly?

Not just asking “How are you?” in passing… but pausing, breathing, and actually listening for the answer.

So many women move through life giving, doing, achieving—until one day the body whispers… or starts to scream. Fatigue, anxiety, burnout, bloating—these aren’t just symptoms; they’re messages.

✨ A true check-in is an act of self-respect.
It’s sitting quietly with yourself and asking:
   •   What do I need right now?
   •   What feels heavy?
   •   What would help me feel held?

Whether it’s a quiet moment with a cup of tea, a walk in nature, meditation or a journal entry, or a healing touch like manual lymphatic drainage—you deserve time that’s just for you.

📌 This week, carve out even five minutes and truly check in. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.

Just had surgery? Here’s why your body needs more than just rest…

While rest is essential, your lymphatic system also needs support to clear swelling, reduce inflammation, and speed up healing.

That’s where manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) comes in—it gently helps your body detox, reduces post-op discomfort, and gets you feeling like yourself again, sooner.

✨ Your recovery isn’t just about time—it’s about the right care.

Post op massage is not a luxury, but a necessity….

Because healing doesn’t stop when the surgery ends — it begins.

Post-op massage, especially manual lymphatic drainage, reduces swelling, supports circulation, prevents fluid build-up, and helps you feel more comfortable in your body again.
It’s not pampering — it’s essential care for your recovery. 💚

If you have noticed something new in the clinic this is it!

Introducing….

the eot (electrostatic oscillation therapy)

Electrostatic Oscillation Therapy (E.O.T.) is a noninvasive treatment method known for delivering a range of therapeutic benefits.

It works by generating an electrostatic field between the applicator-or the therapist’s hands-and the patient’s tissue.

This interaction creates a gentle, pulsating kneading effect known as deep oscillation.

This oscillation pe*****tes up to 8 cm beneath the skin’s surface (Hernandez Tapanes et al., 2010), helping to relieve pain, reduce swelling (oedema), relax muscles, and improve blood circulation.

Therapists can adjust treatment settings such as frequency (ranging from 5 to 300 Hz), movement direction, speed, and pressure to suit each patient’s needs.

It is ideal to incorporate into manual lymphatic drainage massage for added effect.

Because only minimal pressure is needed, D.O.T. is suitable for acute pain, soft tissue injuries, and wound care.
Additionally, patients can self-administer the therapy using special applicators.

✅ indications for using e.o.t.....
• Lymphoedema
• Lipoedema
• Fibrosis and cysts
• Pain
• Wounds
• Muscle relaxation
• Increasing circulation
• Temporary relief of minor aches and pains

❌ contraindications
• Untreated infections
• Untreated thrombosis
• Untreated malignancy
• Untreated cardiac disease
• Cardiac pacemakers and other implanted stimulators
• Vertebrobasilar insufficiency
• Sensitivity to electric fields
• Pregnancy
• Tuberculosis

I look forward to sharing this amazing piece of equipment with you all.

It has already made a big impact in my treatments. And patients are talking about how great it is.
