The Truth about Oils :
Canola oil -
Did you know Canola Oil is Banned in Europe because it was “toxic” and “carcinogenic due to the erucic acid content which increases inflammation and negatively impacts memory and heart health.
Vegetable oil -
Linked to cancers and heart disease.
Cooking with vegetable oils releases high concentrations of toxic chemicals called aldehydes, leading to autoimmunity, weight gain, diabetes, cancer and accelerated aging processes.
Sunflower oil-
When heated (including during manufacturing and cooking), forms unhealthy oxidation byproducts such as acrylamides, toxic aldehydes, hydroxylinoleate, free radicals, and trans fats.
Olive oil -
Is rich in healthy monounsaturated fats, contains large amounts of antioxidants, has strong anti-inflammatory properties, but unfortunately not to cook with as it degrades more than other oils when exposed to high heat , best to have cold, as a dressing .
Rice Bran oil -
Is very healthy for you, has a very high antioxidant activity because of its high vitamin E content. Its high smoke point means that it's suitable for high-temperature cooking and can be had cold also.
Coconut oil -
New studies have shown that it contains lauric acid, capric acid, and caprylic acid, which the human body converts into monolaurin. Monolaurin ostensibly helps fight a number of health issues and diseases including high cholesterol, viruses, and bacteria. It's also been found to speed up metabolism and help prevent dementia. Great cold and in cooking.
