ANOTHER GREAT BUSINESS NETWORKING BREAKFAST
Thursday’s Narooma Rotary Business Networking Breakfast attracted 30 local business people to hear Fiona McCuaig, right, talk about the latest Bodalla doings, from chocolates to eucalypts and establishing the first natural conservation burial ground in Australia which opened recently. It was a fascinating talk. With her is Michaela Tyrrell of Estia and Narooma Rotary Vice President David McInnes. The next Business Breakfast is 190 March.

NAROOMA ROTARY CELEBRATES YOUTH
Narooma Rotarians and friends had a wonderful evening on Thursday celebrating the youth the Club has assisted recently. They included those who took part in the Engineers Australia Engineering Summer School, the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, an apprenticeship scholarship, and our Narooma Rotary Tertiary Scholarship program. We were also joined by two Rotary Youth Exchange Students from Denmark and France who were holidaying with a Narooma Rotarian. More details at www.naroomarotary.org.au.

WIND UPSETS AUSTRALIA DAY DUCK RACE
Monday’s Great Australia Day Duck Race was unprecedented with only 6 ducks actually crossing the line. Most others fell victim to the southerly wind and sought refuge in Mill Bay which automatically disqualified them.
Duck 683 was the clear winner, purchased by Antonella Lukic of Canberra who won $1,000. Last Duck was 997, held by John Hamilton who won $100. Shown are Rotarians Pina Prosperi, left, Antoinette Lee and President Julie Hartley with the winning duck.
