I've been asked about my daily routine a lot, so I'm finally sharing. I don't wake up at sunrise like many of you assume 🙈 I like sleep & I need sleep—I'm quite active in other realms during the night, & am in deep meditation before waking too. So there you go, my excuse for not getting out of bed before 7am on weekdays—weekends vary but consist of more sleep 🙈
On an empty stomach: TCM tea, Shilajit drop, & Sea Moss gel.
Breakfast: Smoothie & Hot Cacao.
Exercise:
Rebound: 10 - 15 mins
Weights: I have a strong aversion to doing repeated sets, so I do 1 set of 15-20 reps of various exercises
Qi Gong/Tai Chi: 20 - 30 mins
Dragon's Breath (Qi Gong): 10 mins
Meditation: 10 mins
Lunch: fruit, nuts, seaweed. Or a smoothie or acai bowl. Hot cacao with ashwagandha, medicinal mushrooms, & cayenne.
Early dinner: typically organic, wholefood, vegan, homemade soups, gnocchi, savoury crepes, or curries in cooler months. Salads, raw pad thai, Sun Bowls, & more fruit in warmer months, but I aim for mostly fruit, pods & nuts.
Usually, more Sea Moss gel after dinner, then TCM tea. I chew on frankincense resin before bed. Meditate. Snore 🙃
• Cold food weakens the spleen; I drink cacao to warm my body after cold food.
• After about a decade of practicing yoga, my soul no longer resonates with it. I've practiced Tai Chi on & off for a few years, but I've found more benefits, a stronger & better connection, & healing in Qi Gong & Tai Chi. I add pilates or barre before Qi Gong if time permits.
• I used to intermittent fast in the morning, but that's when the spleen & stomach are at their strongest. So I eat earlier & fast later until the next morning—I aim for 4pm/5pm, if possible, until breakfast—I eat with the Sun.
• I avoid seed oils, refined sugars, processed foods, alcohol, & coffee. I'm loads of fun 🙈.
• It's important to be flexible with food/life. If I'm not hungry, I skip lunch or dinner. If I have a dinner engagement, I enjoy my time out & fast the following day. Make taking care of yourself fun!
• I drink filtered or spring water, and work around my routine.
• If I feel like a treat, I eat it—aiming for organic, wholefood & vegan.
• I spend a lot of time outside & in the Sun. I love nature walks, and ocean and spring water swims.
• I take chlorella when I feel the need to heavy metal detox 🐝
