What great news!

Data suggests hospitalization rates of infants under 8 months old have dropped 46 percent and 28 percent.

John Parry Medical Centre is a family-oriented practice. As such we realise the pressure now on parents of high school students who are required to stay at school for 5 years.

The government has not extended the bulk billing rebate to cover this, but we have started a policy to bulk bill all children under the age of 18 anyway.

If your child needs medical treatment please be aware that, for normal doctor consultations, children under 18 will be bulk billed.

Welcome to Narrogin, our lovely new doctor, Dr Chandrasena is an experienced general practitioner who has come to us after 15 years of working as a general practitioner in Sri Lanka. We are delighted to see her boosting our medical staff in the rural region. She is married with two children. Her son and husband, who is an anesthetist, will be joining her later.

👨‍⚕️Dr Peter Beaton (Male) Principal Specialist GP. Sees new and existing patients and is often booked out a week or two in advance. We suggest planning ahead with your bookings. He bulk bills for concession/ healthcare, DVA and children 18 years and under. All others privately billed.

Bulk billing incentive payments are available under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) to medical practitioners that bulk bill:

• children under 18 years of age (That hold a Medicare card)
• patients with a Commonwealth concession card

Practice Nurse – Full Time Position

John Parry Medical Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our busy Narrogin-based Medical Practice.
The position would be on a part-time basis to work 5 days a week.
The successful applicant requires good interpersonal skills & the ability to work autonomously, plus the ability to work collaboratively with our team of GPs & Nurses, providing high quality & comprehensive care for all patients.
The preferred applicant would possess the following skills, however some training & flexibility is available:
• Care Plan & Health Assessment experience
• Wound care knowledge
• Immunisation & Vaccinations
• Ability to assist with minor surgical procedures
• Stock control of supplies and equipment
