A great evening celebrating achievement across our industry and the people who continue to lead with innovation, commitment and impact.

Parabellum was proud to sponsor the Community Contribution Award and congratulate this year’s winner, Metro Mining Ltd, recognised for their partnership with the Johnathan Thurston Academy and the positive pathways it is creating for students across Cape York. 🔥 MERC 2025 🔥

What an outstanding few days of competition, community and capability on display. MERC- Mining Emergency Response Competition continues to bring together the very best of emergency response, and this year delivered another exceptional event.

The Gala Awards Dinner was a strong celebration of the all the teams efforts and dedication shown across every discipline, as well as the 190+ volunteers that make MERC possible.

A special congratulations to our two teams we had the privilege of training in the lead-up to MERC:

🏅 BHP – Vertical Rescue Scenario Award Winner

We are extremely proud of the exceptional efforts demonstrated by the teams and our trainers and it’s fantastic to see it recognised.

🔥 A massive Day Two at MERC yesterday 🔥
Yesterday delivered strong performances, tight teamwork and some impressive problem-solving as teams moved through the next round of scenarios. The competition intensity has lifted and it has been great to watch crews step up and support one another across the grounds.

We are onsite again today and would love you to come past the Parabellum stand.

Whether you want to check out our specialist vehicles, explore PPE and equipment, chat about training pathways or learn more about opportunities in emergency response, our team is here throughout the day.

🔥 A huge first day at MERC Mining Emergency Response Competition yesterday 🔥

Day One set a strong tone for the weekend, with teams putting their skills on display across every discipline. The atmosphere was full of energy, teamwork and commitment as the competition got underway.

We are looking forward to the next two days as things ramp up, and we would love to see you at the Parabellum stand.

From vehicles, equipment and PPE to recruitment, training and everything in between, we have plenty for you to see, try and talk about.

Training is well underway with our clients hitting the ground running as Mining Emergency Response Competition MERC 2025 fast approaches. 🔥💪

Teams have been putting in the hours across multiple disciplines — from technical rescue and casualty care to rope work, vehicle extrication, and high-pressure scenario drills. The commitment, grit, and teamwork on display has been incredible.

A huge round of applause to all the trainers out there guiding their teams through every challenge and getting them MERC-ready.

Your experience and dedication are what set the standard for the weekend ahead. 👏

This morning, on Remembrance Day, we will pause to honour the men and women who have served our nation, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live with freedom and opportunity.

With many former and current defence personnel within our organisation, this day holds particular meaning. Whether at HQ, on site, or in the field, we will take one minute of silence to reflect on their service, their courage, and the legacy they have left for us all.

We remember them today, and always.
Lest we forget.

✈️🔥 AVIATION FIRE TEAM TRAINING – PAPUA NEW GUINEA 🌏 ✈️🔥
We recently delivered Aviation Fire Training in PNG for a valued international client's emergency response team.

The program, PUAFIR305 Respond to aviation incidents (General), focused on enhancing operational readiness, teamwork, and live-fire capability — ensuring personnel are equipped to respond effectively to aviation incidents.

It was great to meet with our client this week and hear such positive feedback on the training outcomes and the professionalism of our trainers.

We are proud to continue supporting clients with tailored emergency response training that meets international standards and local needs.
