Dr Murray shares why false eyelashes are not recommended, particularly for procedures around the eyes such as upper eyelid (blepharoplasty) surgery.

False eyelashes can interfere with delicate work around the eye area — and in some cases, make surgery more difficult. Similarly, very thick or heavy acrylic nails may interfere with monitoring equipment that reads oxygen levels in your blood.
