Celebrating Growth and Excellence in Our PACU Team 🎉

We’re proud to recognise members of our Post Anaesthetic Care Unit team who have recently completed the Transition to Specialty Practice program, designed to support staff who are new to the theatre specialty.

Through a combination of hands-on learning and online education, the program helps build the skills and knowledge needed for safe and effective perioperative practice.

Our Volunteer Services team at Hollywood Private Hospital has been proud to support the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, helping bring hope and essential support to Australians facing hardship this festive season.

Over the past month, donation boxes placed throughout the hospital collected food and gifts for children and families in need. Thanks to the generosity of our staff, patients and visitors, the response was overwhelming.

The donations were delivered to the Salvation Army yesterday and will be used to provide Christmas presents and essential food hampers to those who need them most. 🎁

❤️‍🩹 Hollywood Private Hospital recently hosted its seventh Cardiac Rehabilitation Heart Health Information Day, supporting patients on their recovery journey after cardiac procedures and cardiothoracic surgery. ❤️‍🩹

More than 300 patients have taken part so far, travelling not only from Perth but also from regional communities including Geraldton, the Wheatbelt, the Southwest and Margaret River.

Our cardiac rehabilitation team is dedicated to helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their recovery. The Information Day gives patients the chance to reconnect and feel reassured, with personalised care covering everything from medication and psychological support to exercise and lifestyle advice. 🌿

It’s all part of our commitment to providing personalised, multidisciplinary cardiac care so patients feel empowered every step of the way. 👣

On Tuesday we held our annual Remembrance Day service in Hollywood Private Hospital’s reception area to honour the brave men and women who lost their lives serving our country.

We would like to thank all of those involved in the service, which was led by Chaplain Kim Kuchel from RSL WA and attended by Hollywood patients, visitors, volunteers and employees.

As a former military hospital with strong connections to WA’s veteran community, Remembrance Day holds special significance for Hollywood. Each year, this service offers us a moment to pause, reflect and pay tribute to our history and to those who have served with courage and sacrifice.
