🎉 Celebrating Five Years of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Hollywood Private Hospital.🫀

This week, we proudly celebrated five remarkable years since the establishment of our Cardiothoracic Surgery Service, a milestone that represents teamwork, innovation and countless lives changed for the better.

Since launching in 2020, the service has supported thousands of patients through complex heart and lung surgeries, pre-admission programs and rehabilitation, providing continuous care from diagnosis to recovery. 💪

Behind every procedure is a dedicated team of specialists and support staff, from cardiac surgeons, anaesthetists and perfusionists to nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians and allied health professionals, all united by one purpose: helping patients recover, rebuild and return to the lives they love. 💫

CVD claims more lives each year than cancer and chronic respiratory diseases combined, yet up to 80% of heart disease and stroke cases are preventable through lifestyle changes, early detection, and timely treatment.

❤️ Celebrating Heart Health at Hollywood Private Hospital.

We are thrilled to share the success of our second free Heart Check Day! On Wednesday, 17th September, our amazing team came together to provide accessible, high quality cardiac care to patients aged 70 and above, who had never seen a Cardiologist before.

Following the overwhelming response to our first Heart Check Day in May, we were able to care for 30 patients in a single day, many receiving coordinated cardiac care for the very first time. 🫀

This achievement was only possible through the dedication and collaboration of our Cardiologists, Sonographers, Cardiac Nurses, and in partnership with Medtronic. Their expertise, compassion, and teamwork made this day extraordinary. 🙌

Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication and energy — you are truly changing lives. 💖

Since becoming part of Ramsay Health Care, we’ve doubled our bed numbers going from 300 beds to more than 700 making us the biggest private hospital in WA. We have 650 specialists and are exceptionally well regarded in a broad range of medical specialties, including urology, cardiology, psychiatry, oncology, neurosurgery and orthopaedics.
