Congratulations Abbie on your outstanding achievement as the highest performing Year 1 student at VMS.

Congratulations to Abbie Potter, Venue Operations Manager, Melbourne Fringe, who was presented with the Momentus Technologies Year 1 Bursary at last night’s VMS and LI Graduation Dinner. This Bursary will cover Abbie’s enrolment into VMS Year 2 and is awarded to the highest performing Year 1 student.

Having only recently joined the VMA to take part in the VMA Quayclean Mentor Program, Abbie was encouraged to apply for a scholarship by her mentor, Heather Clarke. In August, she was awarded the Event Health Management Innovation Scholarship, and now she has also received the Year 1 bursary.

Congratulations Abbie on all of your achievements and we can’t wait to weclome you back at VMS next year!

With the Paris 2024 Olympics culminating over the weekend with two incredible marathons, the global marathon circuit shifts its focus to the next stop, Sydney!!

Registered Nurses, the TCS Sydney Marathon is looking for you to join the medical team on Sunday 15th September.

More than 40,000 participants will take part in this year's historical race, the final step to joining the Abbott World Marathon Majors.

The runners need you to get to the finish line…..

Not only will you learn about race medicine, gaining valuable hands-on experience in this emerging field, you will also fulfil annual CPD requirements.

I am delighted to announce that registration for the 8th edition of Mass Participation World Conference (MPW23) is now open.

You are invited to join us at the stunning Mai House Saigon Hotel in the bustling heart of District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 7 to 9 December.

With the theme of “Futureproofing from the grassroots up,” this year’s event will include an exciting new addition to the program: the inclusion of content and speakers from grassroots sports.

We believe there are many commonalities including managing outdoor venues, similar business models, reliance on volunteers, creating a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of citizens as well as building and engaging with communities.
