Welcome to Live a Sunny Life! I started this page to share my passion for good food and healthy living, to empower people to be the very best that they can be, and to live a sunny life! I'm a busy mum to two young boys and a certified childhood educator who understands that good nutrition is essential for optimal health. I used to believe that eating whole foods was enough. But even though I was eating clean, I was still low in energy, not sleeping properly and I didn't feel that I was functioning at an optimum level. I was doing everything that we're told to do, exercise, drink water and eat clean. I didn't understand why my body wasn't feeling the way it's supposed to feel. In 2015 I was introduced to nutritional cleansing and intermittent fasting. And this led me to start learning about the toxicity in our environment and our food source. Our bodies have a natural cleansing system, however, we live in a completely unnatural world. Our bodies were never designed to withstand this much toxicity! We live in a world that's inundated with chemicals. We take them in from everywhere, whether it's from toxins in our environment or from herbicides and pesticides in our fruit and vegetables. As we introduce these impurities into our system, the liver produces more fat to store them. For people who are trying to lose weight, they’re cutting calories on a nutritionally bankrupt food system. If you don’t remove the impurities from your system, you’ll never have optimal health, much less lose weight. 98% of all diets fail. You've got a $50 billion dollar industry that fails 98% of the time! The whole concept of dieting, which is based on reducing calories, is illogical. What no one talks about is the nutritional density of the calorie. Instead of counting calories we should be making every calorie count. What happens when you go on a diet and you lower calories, you lower your nutritional density. Your body stores fat, the opposite of what you want to do! The solution is to infuse the body with massive amounts of nutrients in as few calories as possible. I believe that nutritional cleansing and intermittent fasting are the 'missing links' to numerous health benefits such as vitality, mental clarity, more energy and better absorption of nutrients. I'll use this page to share advice, recipes and articles about nutritional cleansing, health and wellness and the benefits of intermittent fasting.
