🐾 One of our participants visited the Animal Welfare League today with plans to start volunteering soon!

They explored the note systems, learning how to identify key details about each animal, and met with staff and coordinators to share their knowledge, passion, and availability. ✨

Of course, there was also plenty of time for cuddles — the furry friends loved the attention! 🐶🐱💙

Today we had a visit from Natasha, who works in the Fair Trading team within the Department of Justice. She spoke with us about consumer rights, responsibilities, and how to spot and avoid scams — such an insightful and engaging session! 💡

After lunch, we played The Game of Life, which everyone really enjoyed. Lots of laughs and great teamwork to finish off the day! 🎲😄

Today’s group session took us out to Coomera Westfield! 🚆🍴🛍️
From start to finish, the crew worked together to make it happen — using the Translink app to plan train times, deciding where to have lunch, and putting into practice the skills we’ve been building along the way. 💡

To make things even more fun, we introduced SLES BINGO 🎉 — a challenge printout that turned the day into a game (and, of course, sparked a little healthy competition 😄).

Last week in our SLES group, we explored quick ways to boost our energy when we’re feeling flat — something that happens in the workplace too! 🌟
Our top strategies were listening to music, getting some fresh air, and moving our bodies. We even tested it out with a mini exercise challenge! 💪🎶🌱
