Pregnancy is truly a special and amazing time, a woman's body endures a whole new rage of changes! As wonderful and precious as the time may be, those changes can bring on a whole list of issues like difficulty taking a deep breath, low back pain, pelvic pain, swollen ankles and the list goes on! Some things never change! We love them all!

We love treating babies and kids at our clinic! They make up a large portion of our patient list. Deciding on whether or not your child should see someone is a VERY tricky and overwhelming question - we get it.
Questions we get asked by curious parents all the time include:
1) Is it safe?
2) Will it work?
3) What EXACTLY will you be doing to my child?
4) Have you seen this before?

We hope you are all keeping well during these strange and somewhat stressful times! Sometimes causing that stress to turn into Acute injuries in the body. Such as a kinked neck or back pain.
The body is works very hard to heal itself. The healing process can be anywhere up to 3 months!
Whilst your body is doing all of the hard work - osteopaths are able to help you heal by increasing blood flow to the area and improving drainage from the area (i.e. reduce swelling) and increasing overall mobility.

Ever sprained an ankle? Ever woken up with a 'kinked' neck? Ever torn a muscle?
These are what we call ACUTE injuries. An injury or irritation has occurred and the body is working to heal itself. Acute pain lasts only as long as it takes for the body to heal itself which can be anywhere up to 3 months (think 24-48 hours for a 'kinked' neck' or 3 months for a broken bone...)
Whilst your body is doing all of the hard work - osteopaths are able to help you heal by increasing blood flow to the area and improving drainage from the area (i.e. reduce swelling).
