Burnout doesn’t always look like collapsing. Sometimes it looks like scrolling for hours because your brain can’t make one more decision. Cancelling plans because the thought of being “on” is exhausting. Starting things and not finishing them. Feeling nothing about things that used to matter.

These are not character flaws. They are symptoms of a nervous system that has been in overdrive for too long.

Rest is not a reward for productivity. It is a biological need.

Anger is not the problem. It’s the messenger.

Most of us were taught that anger is dangerous, something to suppress, apologise for, or be ashamed of. But anger is one of the most important signals your nervous system sends.

It’s telling you a boundary has been crossed. That you feel powerless. That there is grief underneath you haven’t been able to feel. That your needs are not being met.

When you learn to listen to your anger instead of fighting it, it stops running you.

Your anger is not the problem. What’s underneath it is worth exploring. 🤍

Regulation isn’t about being calm all the time. It’s about being able to come back.

A regulated nervous system doesn’t mean you never feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed. It means you have the capacity to move through those states and return to baseline.

It means you can feel big emotions without being consumed by them. You can set a boundary without your heart racing. You can rest without guilt. You can receive love without suspicion.

This is what healing looks like. Not the absence of hard feelings ,but the ability to be with them. 🤍
