πŸ₯„πŸ« Easter Treats from Volunteers to Residents πŸ₯„πŸ«

Every year, our Corumbene volunteers surprised our residents with special Easter-themed treats to enjoy over the holiday weekend.

Volunteers Bonnie and Janet came up with the brilliant idea of attaching Cadbury Dairy Milk hollow hunting eggs to spoons wrapped up with a cute bow and Easter bunny ornaments.

Congrats Rural Primary Health for doing an amazing job to get ladies from New Norfolk out to their breast screening appointments! Keep up the great dedication to health.

πŸšŒπŸ’— All Aboard the B**b Bus πŸšŒπŸ’—

Just last week our legendary team at took some of our clients out on an excursion to get breast screenings just after . Our cheekily named B**b Bus helped women by solving the problem of transport so they can access this basic, yet important health screening. This project was supported by the International Women's Day Small Grant Program.

The B**b Bus left the Health Hub on the Avenue at 9am and went around to pick all the ladies up from their homes and took them all the way to Rosny for their appointments. After everyone was checked, the group treated themselves to a light lunch to celebrate this achievement in taking care of their health. The team from Rural Primary Health even dressed up wearing their pink flower t-shirts from their previous Breast Cancer Awareness event.

Have you had your breast screening recently?

🍜πŸͺ A Taste of Harmony at Corumbene 🍜πŸͺ

Today, our Corumbene staff gathered in the Multi-Purpose Room for our A Taste of Harmony event.

We are lucky to have so many people here from all walks of life and happy to share their cultural cuisines with their fellow staff members. Two of our Extended Care Nurses Sana and Neeta brought in rice pudding with nuts, an essential ingredient, and spiced potatoes from their Nepalese culture. Registered Nurse Radhika also brought a scrumptious Nepalese dish of noodles with beans, cabbage and chicken that her husband helped her make it. Lastly, Human Resources Office Cathy brought in handmade strawberry and coconut slices for dessert.

Thankfully we made sure to host the event just around lunchtime, so everyone was able to enjoy the delicious food and yummy treats everyone brought in.

Which would be your favourite dish?
