Hi everyone!! It’s the new year and we’ve had some fabulous new psychologists commence with us! 👏

We currently have availability for adult, adolescent and child clients! 🥳

We’ve had our books closed for child and adolescent clients for quite some time now.
This is because (as many of you have found), child and adolescent psychologists are as rare as hen’s teeth… soooo, we’re very excited that we can now offer this service again! 😁

Mental health care plans, workers compensation, NDIS and private patients are all welcome!! 🙌

💥 We have several new and exciting additions to the Archer Street Health team this year!💥

Stay tuned for more introductions but to get the ball rolling, we’re excited to introduce you to registered psychologist Lexi Fox-Hughes! 👏

Lexi is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has a warm, thoughtful, and compassionate approach. She is passionate about supporting children and their families, adolescents, and adults. Lexi values creating a collaborative space where clients feel understood and supported at their own pace.

Lexi has experience working with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, persistent pain, relationship challenges, and work-related stress and injuries. She also has an interest in working with clients in the perinatal space. She enjoys working with diverse presentations and takes a flexible, individualised approach tailored to each client’s needs and goals.

Lexi uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). When supporting clients with trauma-related experiences, she adopts a whole-body approach to support safety, regulation, and reconnection with the body.

In addition to therapy, Lexi can complete comprehensive cognitive and learning (educational) assessments for clients of all ages.

Lexi will be based at our Campbell Street site and is available for new referrals 🙌

Safe Haven- open 9am to 10pm daily for those who experience a crisis in their mental health. They are a free service located at 10 Elphinstone Rd and are a drop in service staffed by Mental Health Services.

We will be closing at 4pm on Saturday 20 December and re opening Monday 5 January 2026. Our staff are ready for a well earned break, but until then, we are business as usual 🤩👩‍💻 ☎️

Did you know that at Archer Street Health we have two psychologists who make working with clients with chronic health conditions their priority?! 🤗

Meet Health Psychologist Ally Olekalns (pictured right here 🤩) and Clinical Psychologist Dr Kym Nutting! Both of these wonderful women have experience and expertise in helping people with chronic conditions such as cancer, endometriosis, persistent pain, diabetes, and autoimmune conditions (plus more!) navigate the every day difficulties having such a condition places on life.

They’re also great at helping you reduce your pain! Does seeing a psychologist mean your pain is in your head?! Absolutely not!! We know however, that understanding your pain and working on conditions that amplify pain such as anxiety and depression can reduce pain flare intensity and duration. In fact we know that up to 80% of individuals with a chronic health condition will unfortunately experience anxiety or depression during the course of their illness.

Both Ally and Kym see people via mental health care plans, privately and via third parties such as workers compensation, NDIS and MAIB.

We’re so excited to introduce and welcome Dr Elizabeth Walker to our Archer Street Health multidisciplinary team! 🤗

Dr Walker is an experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist and comes to us with a wealth of experience across perinatal, child and adolescent domains. She brings a warm, collaborative and gentle manner to her work with both patients and their families and we’re thrilled to have her join our paediatric team of psychiatrists, psychologists and paediatricians! 🎉

Dr Walker’s books are open and referrals from GPs are welcome. Please note: at this stage she is not taking referrals for the assessment of ADHD and Autism.

Archer Street Health has expanded and excitingly this means that we have welcomed several new medical and allied health practitioners on board.

This means we’re looking for a fabulous medical receptionist to join our close knit team of fun, dedicated, welcoming, professional and kind team of admin professionals.
