HEAL has state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment at both Maitland and Newcastle clinics. This is includes the slit lamp pictured here.

What is a slit lamp? 🤔
It is a high-intensity, binocular microscope that allows our team to see your whole eye (eyelids, cornea, iris, lens and retina) 👁️ The team can identify and treat problems with your eye straight away.

HEAL doctors utilise the slit lamps to identify:
☑️ foreign objects
☑️ bleeding within the eye
☑️ trauma
☑️ scratches
☑️ vision problems & disease
