Are you an experienced CLEANER looking for a rewarding role during school hours?
We have a fantastic opportunity available in Newcastle for a dedicated and reliable cleaner who is passionate about helping others and looking to work Monday to Friday, during school hours.
About the Role:
You will be assisting people with varying disabilities in their own homes. This is a meaningful role that requires compassion, respect, and the ability to work independently.
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience in cleaning
• A caring attitude and willingness to support people with disabilities in a respectful and professional manner
• Current driver's licence, own insured vehicle, and willingness to travel between shifts (travel is paid)
• Available Monday to Friday, ideally during school hours
• Ability to work independently and follow safe work practices
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Current (or willingness to obtain):
o Working With Children Check (paid)
o NDIS Worker Screening Check
o Police Check (completed within the last 3 months)
Applicants who do not meet all of the above requirements will not be considered.

NATIONAL SCHIZOPHRENIA AWARENESS DAY

Schizophrenia is a complex mental illness that affects around 1% of the population. It may cause disruptions to how someone thinks, feels and behaves in varied ways; from experiencing hallucinations and delusions, disorganised thoughts, issues with communication and social behaviour.
Schizophrenia is highly stigmatised – it is a myth that people with this mental illness are inherently dangerous. When provided with adequate support, many schizophrenic people can live full and productive lives.
