Most people could really benefit from getting enough fibre in their diet… why you may ask? 🥗

1. Most Australians don’t have enough fibre in their diet, and
2. A diet high in fibre is linked to improved gut health, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, better blood sugar regulation, and regular bowel movements

Some of my favourite high fibre snacks, foods and meals are
🍲 Vegan chili with tri-coloured quinoa and avocado
🥯 Abe’s low carb bagels with avocado, cottage cheese, and tomato
🫛 Edamame
🫘 Roast chickpeas/fava beans
🥣 Overnight oats with chia seeds and berries

Do you get enough fibre in your diet? Let me know below 👀⬇️

Rather than focus on what you feel like you shouldn’t eat or need to remove from your diet, try looking at what you can include more of to support your goals 💪🏻

Focus on adding, rather than taking away, include seasonings, herbs, and spices, and aim to use the balanced plate approach when building meals 🥗

Small changes to your nutrition can really add up. Nailing the basics and building meals to support you can really help improve your overall nutrition status! 📈

Struggling with not knowing which supplements are worth the money and which aren’t? I’ve got you! 🫶🏻

My recommendations for most people are caffein and creatine. Some individuals will also benefit from supplements like beta-alanine, carbohydrates, protein powder, nitrates, and omega-3s, depending on their nutrition status and what type of exercise they do 💪🏻

I typically recommend steering clear of supplements that have little to no efficacy, including greens powders, fat burners, debloat drinks, and even most probiotics (yup…) 😬

What supplements have you wasted money on before? Let me know below! 💬

Let’s chat about IBS ⬇️

IBS is fairly common, impacting between 7-21% of the population, impacting more women than men 👀

Symptoms can vary, but symptoms can be managed or controlled by reducing triggers, which can include certain foods (e.g. lactose or garlic and onion) but also by stress and lifestyle factors 🧠

Please note, this post is for education only to bring awareness to the prevalence of IBS. This is NOT medical advice nor a tool for self diagnosis ❌

In 2025, we have really seen a resurgence in some icky diet culture trends and noughties-era bodies. Open Instagram and TikTok and you’ll see post on post of fit checks (body checks), workout “tips”, and lifestyle content that promotes diet culture and nutrition tips that bridge into ED territory.

Often, this is disguised as “wellness” or “clean living” with “what I eat in a day” videos showing very low calorie diets or unrealistic monodiets

So… can we agree to leave some of this s**t behind in 2025?

❌ No more pro-ana-esque “what I eat in a day” vlogs that start with a body check
❌ No more glamorising carnivore and raw milk (YUCK)
❌ No more taking nutrition advice from unqualified influencers who are just trying to sell you their bulls**t supplements ( !!!)
❌ No more demonising ultraprocessed foods and seed oils and labelling foods as “good” or “bad” without context
❌ No more weight-splaining
❌ No more unwarranted comments on people’s diets (or bodies)

But instead…

✅ More understanding that there is no one best diet that works for everyone
✅ More understanding of how all foods have a place in your diet
✅ More eating to fuel and nourish your body
✅ More understanding of accessibility & affordability when it comes to food
✅ More time off social media (and touching grass)

At Kinetics, we loove and encourage snacking. But what I love chatting about most with my clients is snack pairing 🤝

You know when you snack on a pack of chips and find yourself still hungry 30 minutes later? 🍿

Or do you find yourself getting those 2-3pm energy crashes where your blood sugar drops and you’re starving? 🫠

Well, combining snacky foods with sources of protein, fibre, complex carbs and/or fats can help ensure we keep fuller for longer! 💪🏻

Swipe through the post to learn how you can snack pair, plus some examples! 😋

And if you’ve read this far into the caption… comment SNACK for my free snack recipe book 👀⬇️

Let’s touch on some common nutrition myths and fads in the industry… 🫠

❌ Seed oils aren’t causing inflammation (at least, not in the way that you think they do). If someone says this to you, ask them which inflammatory pathways are being activated and how.
❌ Your hormones don’t necessarily need “balancing” in the way that wellness girlies on Instagram are telling you… Which hormones exactly need balancing? If you do legitimately have out of whack hormones… a juice cleanse isn’t the answer!
❌ The carnivore diet doesn’t promote health, instead it puts you at risk of nutrient deficiencies, poor gut health, and chronic disease

What nutrition and “wellness” myths have you been fooled by before? Let me know below 💬
