But the good news is that there is LOTS you can do to prepare for labor pain including learning techniques such as breathing, self-hypnosis, relaxation, meditation, vocalisation, movement, affirmations and visualizations.

Labour pain is normal and it's healthy pain, not sick pain. It's your body working during labour, it's your uterus muscle getting tired from the work. There are so many techniques and ways to master your labour pain. If you want to live through, feel, and experience labour and your baby being born (an extremely powerful sensation unlike anything you will experience again), you can do this by learning pain mastery and giving labour a go before you go straight to the epidural.

Breastmilk transitions through 3 different phases to ensure your baby gets all the nutrients and protective qualities offered in the different types of milk.

You can start to collect and store colostrum before your baby is born. In the event you can't or don't want to breastfeed when your baby arrives, colostrum can be fed to your baby via a syringe or cup.

In this video I'll show you how to use a ball safely while you're pregnant and in labour. We'll also go through some basic movements that will help you release any tension your have in your lower back or pelvic area, as well as opening up your hips/pelvis. I'll show you how to use the ball to rest during contractions and how to do some basic stretches to release any tension during labour.
