My raw and honest Black Friday recc’s (clean beauty edition) ✨
* I am not about buying more, in fact I think it’s best to have less stuff. But there are a few essentials, as well as ‘nice to haves’ that I will save up for and wait for a big sale (cause cozzi lives is real 🫠)

So here is my Black Friday sale list- clean beauty edition.

Some things I have and will buy again. And others I would like to try out.

These are my honest unfiltered opinions (not sponsored in way way, although that would be the dream hahaha)

Whey Protein powder Vs Collagen powder

I get this qu a lot, and there is a big difference.

Whey protein is a generally a complete protein, meaning it’s got all nine essential amino acids your body needs for muscle repair, recovery, hormones and metabolism.
You’ll naturally get these from foods like dairy, eggs, meat, chicken, fish, tofu and legumes.

Collagen powder is generally an incomplete protein, it’s missing a few essentials like tryptophan, but it’s loaded with glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the amino acids that support your skin, joints and connective tissue.

You’ll find collagen in things like bone broth, slow-cooked meats, chicken skin, fish skin and gelatin.

So the quick answer is
If your goal is muscle and recovery, go for whey.
If you’re after skin and joint support, collagen might be better.

And if you want both benefits? You can absolutely use both, they just play different roles in the body.

OR you can also get both benefits through your food.

And remember, stay hydrated.

Healthy things to do this weekend *instead of doom scrolling 🫠

1. Meal prep. This is the biggest life saver for the week. If you have limited time choose one meal like lunches to prep. My fave is turkey mince burrito bowls or tofu and roast veggies with spices and a little feta 🤌🏼

2. Buy yourself some flowers. This seems so trivial but honestly flowers make me so happy and it’s important with so much crazy stuff coming at you online it’s so important to stop and pause for moments in the day and appreciate the small things. Flowers do that for me. And mini daffodils are my fave cause they smell insane.

3. Get outside and go for a walk. This is my fave time to listen to a podcast or an audio book. My fave pod from the week is interview with Emma Watson. Ahh so much gold in this. Also is Emma’s voice not just the most soothing voice in the whole world!?

4. Long lunch with friends. Friends fill my cup (even though I’m a big introvert) whenever o get out and spend time with people with the same values and humour it brings me so much joy.

5. Bat ball, tennis or pickle ball. This is because I’m a BIG tennis lover and I’m super competitive so this is one of my fave ways to spend time.

6. Food is my love language. If someone were to cook me a meal, that would mean the WHOLE WORLD to me (especially if it was full of health haha) so why not do this for someone else? Surely we all share a common thread as humans that we all love food right!? Imagine what this would mean to someone 🫶
