Support in Action – Thanks Claire D!

We want to recognise the great work of support worker Claire D and share a recent moment from participant Enya:

“I had a new support worker on Friday as my regular person wasn’t available and she took the time to help teach me how to sew by hand! Because of her help, I have just finished sewing Reggie a new bandana by hand! This is a goal I never realised I wanted to achieve but I did it over the Easter long weekend.”

It's a great example of how our support creates opportunities for growth and a sense of achievement.

Welcome to Sarah Foote! The latest addition to our amazing management team!

Sarah brings with her a degree in social science, decades of experience in the disability industry, including support work, rostering and being a much respected Coordinator of Support (COS).

Sarah is going to join Ash and Bree in management roles, which we are calling ‘Care Coordinators’ - we think this reflects the multifaceted role of providing great care and a case management approach to each of our clients. Sarah will also continue with her valued role as a COS within CA.

So excited for the great care we will continue to provide our clients, as an amazing team.

At Care Alliance, our equine-assisted psychology program provides a safe, supportive space for clients with CPTSD and any other trauma related mental health disorders and ASD. Led by one of our experienced registered psychologists and guided by trauma-informed care principles, this approach helps clients rebuild trust, regulate emotions, and develop self-awareness.

Friday Sunshine and Zen Ed, known for their tranquility and intuition, help our participants gain valuable insights and nurture emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth.
