Supporting women and families

Lucy Ellis has been a therapist for 14 years. She specialises in supporting women process their emotions, build their confidence, speak their truth and heal from past traumas, so they can make the shift forward into a successful life. Working with parents to support their children is also an area of interest. Helping parents look at what shifts they can make within that can help their child thrive is something that Lucy has learnt herself through her years of being a parent to three children. Always learning new therapeutic approaches to create an experiential, embodied and deep experience for her clients. Lucy looks forward to working with you if you are wanting to change the way you feel, think or behave.

The work has worked through me and now I get to facilitate the relief of love pouring into you and all your relationships too.

This is what ME FIRST actually means.

The ME FIRST retreat is where you will get an opportunity to get body understanding not just head understanding of the real shift that allows the love to flow.

Details for the upcoming ME FIRST retreat are in the link in my bio. 🌸

There is a difference between calming yourself down… & teaching your nervous system a new baseline.

The ME FIRST Retreat is not an escape from your life. Its about expanding your capacity to meet all of your life.

When your system learns what steady feels like, you don’t crumble the next time things contract.

You return
You regulate
You lead yourself.
Thats the shift.

Comment ME FIRST to grab the details of this beautiful retreat.

Most women I sit with crave love and connection, but they are protecting their heart at the same time.

Some protect by saying nothing when their body is screaming.
Some fall into do mode, even though they are getting depleted everyday.
Some protect by pushing back harder and biting.

Different strategies, same longing.
To feel safe in love.

Protection of our heart doesn’t create more connection.

ME FIRST is not about taking more.
Its actually about filling yourself to overflow, that it feels safe to love. And you give so much more and that giving is delightful and nourishing for all, including you.

More inward repair and love and less looking and wanting from the other.

Thats when love restores instead of strains.

If this feels like the reorientation you want in your life. Comment ME FIRST and I’ll send you the retreat details.

Alot of women don’t know HOW to choose themselves.

They swing from over-functioning to protest energy.

Choosing yourself isn’t “stuff them, I’m not cooking dinner, why should I have to be the one that sorts it out?”
That’s punishment.

Rather we get soft and honest with ourself. We notice, articulate and express.

If you want to practice going first without disconnecting from the people you love, journal on this:

1. What am I actually feeling right now - beneath the irritation?
2. What do i really need that I havent clearly articulated?
3. Have I expressed this vulnerably, or am i expecting them to know?
4. If I spoke this from love instead of defence, what would I say?
5. What would choosing myself look like if it strengthened connection instead of breaking it?

This is self leadership.
This is what we will practice inside the ME FIRST retreat.

A handful of spots remain.

Blended families are tricky.
And we can simplify things and help our nervous system settle, when we get out of the stories and take our rightful place.

Dad belongs.
Our children are half mum and half dad
When we make space for that truth, something softens in us and the child settles.
We don’t have to approve.
But we do have to honour our children’s father, through the love we have for them.
And that brings peace.

Imagine three days where nobody needs you.
If you’re tired of holding it all together. Tired of anticipating everyone’s needs. Tired of being the glue.

Imagine when you stopped bracing!

For three days have someone else cook. Have someone else hold you. Have someone make the plans and all you have to do is be there.

Mummas, you are the heart of the home. And hearts need rest to keep beating strong.

The Me First Retreat
6-8 March 2026
Oasis wellness centre, port Stephens.

Come be the one who is looked after for once. 💚

My Story

Hi,

I'm Lucy Ellis and I'm on a mission to Wake Women up to their Awesomeness. Which is some groovy words for connecting women with their truest self.

It’s a very common thing for women to feel like they are not good enough, they feel they don't have anything to contribute, or they feel like a fraud. They bash themselves up for the mistakes they have made and they punish themselves daily to be as perfect as they can be.

But ,we all know perfection is non existent. You will never get there, nor would you want to be there. Yuk... How boring!
