How I’m trying to trot into the Fire Horse year.

With all of the dynamic fast moving yang energy this year is bringing, there’s no better time to prioritise our yin and to build practices into our life that make our body and spirit feel safe, anchored, calm and held.
Here are three simple yin nourishing and soul nurturing habits you can integrate into your life right now in this space between solar and lunar new year.
💧Eat more water.
Soups, stews, congees, porridges and broths.
Every opportunity you eat is an opportunity to deeply hydrate your body from within.
These methods of cooking food are generally considered very balanced in Chinese medicine, they are great for building strong qi, are super nurturing to your gut and bonus, your skin will also thank you.
🌊 Immerse yourself in water.
The sea, the streams, the rivers, the lakes, or even a simple bath.
Water is the ultimate old yin energy symbol and holds deep restful and restoring energy for all who enter it.
💎 Start or deepen a practice of meditation or mindfulness.
Yoga, meditation, music, apps, circles, groups; there are countless tools available to us now to explore.
But mindfulness can be as simple as putting down distractions and being completely present in that moment right there.
🩵So go have a mindful bowl of soup in the bath and if that doesn’t do the trick in nourishing your soul,
