I've been working with a client the last few weeks who is terrified of flying and confined spaces. Her panic and anxiety were really high.

We've been working on the mindset and on a deep somatic level to reduce the fear, panic and anxiety and instead instilling calm, safety and being in control.

She's doing so well so far and we've only got a few more weeks left until she heads overseas... so we're looking forward to getting her on that plane so she can have her exciting adventure. ✈️

I also love 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙀𝙧𝙠𝙨 𝙛𝙀𝙧 π™©π™π™š π™˜π™‘π™žπ™šπ™£π™© π™žπ™¨ 𝙖𝙑𝙨𝙀 π™¬π™€π™§π™ π™žπ™£π™œ 𝙛𝙀𝙧 π™’π™š!

When flying to Brisbane, I noticed within myself that this was the most calm, peaceful and serene flight I've probably ever experienced! And that feels so great! πŸ˜„

I can't wait to hear a similar sentiment from my client when she heads off overseas soon. So excited for her!! πŸ’—βœ¨

I love Training and it was an absolute privilege to teach CMTO's Sponsorship & Fundraising at SWR 99.9 FM out in Blacktown last weekend πŸ™Œ

I find it so inspiring when you've got a bunch of members who work hard in keeping community radio alive and they're so passionate and dedicated to the work they're doing in the community.

They've got a huge raffle going at the moment, a big trivia night soon, they do SWR Walk & Talk events for mental health and wellbeing and so much more.

So if you're around in the area, drop them a line, I'm sure they'd love to hear from you!

Why does change feel so hard… even when you want it?

It’s not a lack of discipline.
It’s not self-sabotage.

It’s your nervous system.

Your body is wired for familiarity - not necessarily for growth.

So even when change is positive, your system may resist it if it hasn’t learned that it’s safe yet.

This is why mindset alone often isn’t enough.

Real, lasting change happens when the body feels safe enough to hold something new.

Not forced.
Not rushed.
But integrated.

Save this if you’re learning to work with your nervous system instead of against it ✨

Trapped emotions aren’t just psychological.

They live in your nervous system.

When emotions aren’t fully processed, they don’t just disappear - they stay in the body.

Over time, this can show up as:
β€’ chronic tension
β€’ emotional reactivity
β€’ burnout
β€’ feeling stuck or resistant to change

You can understand your past…
but understanding alone doesn’t release what the body is still holding.

This is where nervous system work becomes so powerful.

Start with something simple:

Long exhale.
Soften your face.
Relax your shoulders.

Let your body receive a signal of safety.

That’s where real release begins.

Comment β€œRELEASE” if this lands for you ✨

I want to be honest about something I’ve been learning lately.

Over the past few months, my body has been moving through hormonal shifts, chronic pain, and fatigue. It hasn’t been the easiest season. But more than the physical discomfort, I noticed something else… the way I was speaking to myself.

My inner dialogue had become super critical and impatient because I wasn’t able to move through life in my usual chipper way.

And I could feel myself heading into a negative spiral.

So I made a choice to interrupt the pattern.

Every time I caught myself in those thoughts, I would gently say stop and replace those thoughts with Ho’oponopono - a traditional Hawaiian healing practice centred around forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoring harmony within ourselves and our relationships.

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

These words help shift the nervous system out of stress and self-attack, creating space for compassion, calm, and emotional healing.

And I repeated it and repeated it until my mind softened, my body relaxed, and I could return to a place of peace.

And something beautiful happened.

Over the last 2–3 weeks, the looping thoughts have eased. I’m retraining my mind and body toward compassion instead of criticism. Toward love instead of pressure.

And I've been surprised that even deeper healing has unfolded too - old memories rising gently to be acknowledged, forgiven, and then released.

Sometimes the greatest healing doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from softening inward.

Ho’oponopono has been a beautiful reminder that self-love can be one of the most powerful medicines we give ourselves.

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

Mindset alone won't heal you.

Understanding your trauma isn’t the same as releasing it.

You can know exactly why you are the way you are…
and still feel stuck in the same emotional patterns.

That’s because trauma doesn’t only live in the mind.

It lives in the body.

Your nervous system holds survival responses designed to protect you.

And until the body feels safe again, healing can feel like something you have to constantly push for.

But when safety returns to the nervous system…
something beautiful happens.

The breath softens.
The body relaxes.
Healing begins to unfold naturally.

Not forced.
Not rushed.
Just allowed.

You don’t always need more tools.

Sometimes you just need a pause.

Try this simple 30-second practice:

β€’ Place your hand over your heart
β€’ Inhale love
β€’ Exhale tension
β€’ Gently sway side to side
β€’ Notice what shifts in your body

These small pauses interrupt stress cycles and signal safety to your nervous system.

The body softens.
The mind clears.
Your system recalibrates.

If you felt even a small shift, tag someone who might need this moment too. You don’t always need more tools πŸ’—
