✨Birth Story ✨

Bec shares her wonderful birth story which shows the benefits of a positive and patient mindset giving yourself time and trusting your body to start labour naturally. It also provides an insight into what it looks like on HMGP when your waters break before contractions start with a home assessment and then a hospital check in.

I will also take this opportunity with this story to say my goodbyes to the HMGP family as I am headed onto a new adventure at BMGP. It’s been a pleasure being here for four years helping to build this community through social media and providing care to lots of families! I’ll be handing the reigns over very soon and you’ll see lots of new faces!
Thanks so much, Danika!

To close out close April as caesarean section awareness month and welcome May we are sharing Monquie’s epic VBAC story.

This is a special one not only because over the course of her two pregnancies Mon has met nearly evey HMGP midwife and her positive attitude holds a special place with all of us. But for HMGP, this is also a special story as we are saying goodbye for now to the two beautiful midwives in it. Al is starting her own amazing journey into motherhood and Jodean is after 5 wonderful years is off to Belmont Midwifery Group Practice. ❤️❤️

Thanks for sharing

April is ceaserean section awareness month. A time to celebrate and honor women who welcomed their babies this way. Each journey to motherhood is unique and individual, here at HMGP we support birth in all its forms and acknowledge the different challenges that mothers who have had cesareans sections face and hold space for their stories.

Obviously losing our Instagram community and page that we have put years into building was very upsetting so we would love your support to rebuild and continue sharing stories.

2024 Statistics ✨

We are very proud here at HMGP with an 84% vaginal birth rate and nearly all of our families having a known care provider present at their birth. With one of our epic first time mums smashing out a vaginal breech birth

Some fun facts about biggest and smallest babies this year, this years biggest baby was born peacefully in an uncomplicated waterbirth by a super strong mumma and our smallest baby was so excited to meet their mum and dad they decided to join us four weeks early.

We have been busy over here at HMGP so if you have a birth story you’d like to share or have sent one that we have missed please direct message us.
