PATCH ON THE GRASS: VANCOUVER 🍁

A few years ago, the idea of a bunch of metalheads gathering in a park to trade patches, show off battle jackets, talk music, and win official merch would have sounded ridiculous.

Yet that’s exactly what happened.

Over the weekend, collectors from across Vancouver came together for the first Patch On The Grass event. Patches changed hands. Vests were inspected. New friendships were made. And some prizes found new homes.

We gave away backpatches, shirts, hoodies, flags, pins, patches, and more. But the giveaways weren’t really the point.

The best part was seeing a community that usually exists online actually come together in person. 🤘

No vendors.
No ticket sales.
No agenda.

Just metal fans hanging out on the grass, talking about the bands, the albums, and the collections they’ve spent years building.

Huge thanks to for coming up with this idea and organizing the event, to for coordinating the giveaways, and to everyone who attended, donated their time, and made the day a success. Looking through these photos, it’s hard not to think this should become an annual tradition. 💪

If you’ve ever spent hours sewing patches onto a vest, hunting for the ideal backpatch, digging through boxes of old merch, or arguing about which band deserved the rocker shoulder panel… this one’s for you. 🧵🪡

Patch On The Grass comes to Vancouver this Saturday.

Bring your battle jacket. Bring your work-in-progress vest. Bring patches, shirts, CDs, pins, or anything else you’re looking to trade. Or just bring a blanket and hang out with other metalheads for an afternoon.

We’ll also be supplying a pile of Pull The Plug gear for giveaways at the meetup.
