More power up high for midwives.... Woohoo!!!

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park MP has today announced the first NSW Chief Midwife role for NSW, a key win for midwifery leadership.

ACM has long advocated for dedicated midwifery leadership at all levels in NSW, including a Chief Midwife role of the same delegation as a Chief Nurse, to improve leadership, and maternity care outcomes for women in NSW, as outlined in our NSW pre-budget submission.

ACM Chief Midwife Alison Weatherstone says this role will give midwives a strong voice in decision-making and support better care for women, babies, and families.

This Saturday night, let's honour the energies of the full moon to refresh and reset.

Jo is a LOVELY facilitator and gets rave reviews for their circles

This is her debut within our team, come out and support her if you can!

A very sustainable affordable ticket price of $20 and in return you'll feel really good :)

I am sadly unable to be at this one due to working for a big corporate giant, so please go and enjoy this if you are lucky enough to be able to go.

Dear mums, if you want to treat yourself to a special night out, to celebrate full moon, and sit in circle with warm hearted, down to earth, friendly women, I'd love you to support our FIRST womens full moon circle (this Saturday night) hosted as part of the birth movement events! Priced super affordably, as all of our events are done!

I've heard big postive reviews about the facilitator and her last circle she hosted at Charlestown - where she was running circles previously!

i can't personally attend to support this one due to night work at my retail job... so please go and enjoy it FOR ME! In my honour! Hahaha.

Nat

Feeling tired and stretched thin? Like no matter how much you do, your to-do list just keeps growing? You’re not alone. I see you, I am you, and this circle is for us. Join me and a group of like minded women for a soul-nourishing evening under the energy of the Full Moon. It’s time to unwind, r...

Professor Michael Kidd, from the Department of Health and Aged Care, has today declared syphilis a Communicable Disease Incident of National Significance, in view of the increasing numbers of cases in Australia, which can impact pregnant women and babies.

Midwives provide continuity of care for women and babies including essential sexual and reproductive healthcare. Midwives are well positioned to support people diagnosed with syphilis. They play a key role in early detection, education and treatment, particularly during pregnancy. The devastating outcomes of congenital syphilis, including neonatal and infant death, are preventable when detected and treated early.
