Yogasphere: Integrated Health & Movement-Based Solutions

Yogasphere: Integrated Health & Movement-Based Solutions We adore Yoga and Qigong! Our classes consist of a divine energy flow; dynamic yet accessible. www.yogasphere.com.au "Krama" essentially means "steps".

We blend all the traditional stuff with modern exercise physiology to create a practise that will nourish every aspect of your being. Vinyasa-krama is a way of linking poses intelligently to create a flowing, nourishing practise. Our Yoga / Qi gong style blends scientifically researched exercise physiology with flowing, movement-based traditional Yoga. This improves strength, stamina and flexibility. Internally, the practise tones the organs, increases the circulation of blood and energy and nourishes the nervous system. Health improves on a deep, cellular level; the immune response is recharged. Many common aches and pains simply disappear and sleep will come more easily. Practitioners also learn how to use the breath and posture to stay calm while improving core stability, physical power, range of movement as well as overall health and well-being generally.

After leaving my yoga studio behind in One Mile, Port Stephens, I've spent the past few years working for the Department of Education, supporting children in schools (a different type of yoga perhaps!), getting paid during the holidays and using that time, if possible, to travel a bit, now that my boys are virtually both adults.

I still practice regularly at home and have continued to teach private and corporate sessions when they come up, so please don't forget that because weekends, I am available!! It always makes my day when I see my students out and about who tell me they still miss my classes many years later, we had a lovely, like-minded community.

However, keeping a business running, especially when it's not your primary source of income, is expensive so I have decided to take my website off-line for this year.

It will be back - and I haven't gone anywhere - I just don't have as much time to devote to marketing and posts and all the energy that goes with it. I've also taken FB off my phone. Too distracting and often triggering. Thinking about mental health and all that time better spent doing other things!

Keep practising all ### πŸ₯°

Perfect conditions at Shoal Bay for a pre-strategy meeting, beach meditation on Monday.

A guided Yoga Nidra relaxation is a wonderful way to clear the head of mindless chatter, reset the consciousness, and create a bit of brain space for real "eureka" moments, creative ideas and useful thoughts!

Thanks to this lovely departmental team of ABS for having me, to Salt at Shoal Bay for hosting them, and to Fiona Coulton Yoga Brave for passing on this offering to me πŸ™πŸ‘Œ πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ.

Hi Port Stephens people!

Just letting you know that I will be in the Bay probably on Wednesday if anyone would like to order a jar of home-made, natural moisturiser.

The big random glass jars (300ml) are still $50 and a 100ml PET tub with a funky label is $30.

Most of the ingredients in the balm are organic. It has a base of organic rose hip oil and is probably one of the only ones you can buy that has the organic rose hip as virtually 100% of the oil component. Most other rosehip oil based moisturisers don't have much organic oil in them, and you can tell by how far down each ingredient is in the list.....!

The moisturiser also contains other lovely things such as organic mango butter, organic aloe vera, organic honey and pure essential oils.

If you prefer your organic rose hip oil without any additives, I sell 125mls for $65 and it comes in a pump bottle.

I also have organic olive oil cleansers available - $20 in a 125ml pump, and Dead Sea Mineral Mud mask which is only $10 for 100mls (which will last you most of the rest of your life!! πŸ˜‚
Put your order in and if I can, I will deliver (Port Stephens area only)

PS - I am really in need of jars. Not just any old jars, they must have a wide mouth like the French Jam jars or the salsa type jars otherwise nobody can get their fingers in. Would really appreciate some if you have ###xx

2022 was a tough year personally yet with some positive wins, such as ticking off my Northern Lights bucket list item, getting to see my family in the UK and finding the perfect, smaller house in a great Newie suburb in about five minutes after selling up - having spent the majority of my weekends for the previous 8 months or so cleaning, scrubbing and fixing things up to help make the sale happen. All first world blah blah of course, but it was exhausting. Feeling very appreciative now that there is a bit of time to do All The Things - such as cycling the Fernleigh track all the way to Belmont and back yesterday which isn't too shabby! I spent NY relaxing with some fabulous friends and feeling pretty lucky - apart from the saddle seat 🀣πŸ₯΄. Happy 2023 all ###

This is my last weekend living in One Mile and Thursday was the very last Yoga class in the studio.

Some of these people have been with me on and off, in between moves, for 17 years and came to the very first class I ever taught in Anna Bay. This is when someone lent me their basement in return for a bit of dog walking! I believe the average amount of time this bunch has been attending class with me is around 10 years. That's 10 years worth of commitment and friendship.

Thanks to you all for helping to create such an incredible, flowing and nourishing dynamic; it's often felt like an hour and a half spent with awesome friends that leaves you feeling energised and whole. πŸ˜πŸ•‰πŸ’–πŸ™

Can you imagine being a little bit better-er at All The Things?

It's only a regular and on-going Yoga practise that has that power; on the mat and as part of our general day-to-day outlook.

We are back for Term 3 next week and looking forward to seeing you in class, getting better-er at.....well LIFE! (and All The Things) πŸ₯°πŸ•‰

Yoga!!! Here's the essential reasons behind the foundation of what I teach in class, and why so much of it comes back to balance.

Yes, it's hard (and this image is absolutely an advanced variation of something!), but, also hard - and inconvenient - is recovery from constant tripping and falling - the results of which, get harder and harder to heal from (as well as being more prevalent), as we age. πŸ˜πŸ•‰

"Krama" means β€œsteps”. In context, vinyasa-krama essentially translates to mean "intelligent steps towards a goal". Our yoga style blends scientifically researched exercise physiology with powerful, movement-based traditional vinyasa yoga. to improve strength, stamina and flexibility. This practice increases blood circulation meaning that overall health improves on a cellular level. It also works to relieve many common aches and pains, Practitioners learn how to use the breath and posture to stay calm while improving core stability, physical power, range of movement plus, of course, health and well-being generally.
