Newcastle Therapy is proud to introduce The Social Board- a fun, game-based speech therapy group starting June 12! 🎲 This neuro-affirming program uses tabletop gaming to build independence and provide real-world practice for your communication goals in a low-pressure and social environment.

Is this group the right fit for you?
✅ You want to practice communication skills in a casual, “non-work” setting.
✅ You’re looking for a budget-friendly alternative to individual sessions.
✅ You want to build self-advocacy, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
✅ You enjoy (or want to try!) tabletop games and connecting with peers.

Ready to play? Current clients can contact their clinician to express interest, new referrals can head to our website to complete a referral form. We’ll start with one individual session to set your personal communication goals for the group 🤝

The Yellow Ladybugs Conference is a fantastic immersive event, dedicated to driving authentic change through neuro-affirming care and practical support for autistic girls and gender-diverse individuals. Our team has learnt so much from this conference in the past, and can’t wait to attend again in 2026.

While we’d all love to have been there in person, we have decided to host a Newcastle meetup for local professionals and advocates to watch, discuss, and connect.

We’re opening our warm, sensory-friendly clinic to provide a safe space to dive into this important content. We’ll be sharing key presentations, discussing takeaways and planning how to turn this learning into local neuroaffirming action.

📅 When: Friday 5 June
🕘 Time: 9 am- 3 pm (Drop in whenever suits you!)

Thank you for joining us in our new space 🤍

We loved bringing together Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists for our very first networking event at our office. It was such a special chance to connect, share experiences and have meaningful conversation.

Our Speech Pathologist Brontë led the discussion on Carer Burnout: Balancing Therapy with Caregiver Wellbeing. A topic that sparked a lot of reflection and that we’re so passionate about continuing to explore.
