🤝 Start with connection.
😮💨 Start with taking the pressure off!
Because when a child feels:
✔️ safe in their body
✔️ supported at the table
✔️ not forced or rushed
That’s when eating actually becomes possible! 🍎 😮
Try this first:
🍎 Sit and eat together (even for a few minutes)
😮💨 No pressure to eat – exposure is enough (having something new to look at can be tricky)
🍞 Keep some of their preferred foods on the plate- having something they know the like can be a good safety net!
✨ Focus on connection over “just one more bite”- as tempting as it can be!
🪑 Postural stability is important- make sure their feet are touching the ground or surface and their back is supported.
