They lead one of the first successful 8-hour day campaigns in the world, and they won 💪
Every break, every weekend, every right we have today was fought for by workers like them. Workers like us.

In 2022 we voted for Secure Jobs, wages and Rights @ Work. In 2025 we vote to defend what we have achieved.
We’ve achieved more in 3 years Under the Federal ALP Government that we could under 10yrs the Anti-Worker, Anti-Union conservatives.
Manufacturing growth is a central focus in Australia again. As Comrade Clements say’s the list of wins for AMWU members and workers is to long to mention in a short vid. Dutton’s Liberal/National Coalition is a significant threat to Our Rights @ Work and a Future Made in Australia.

Workers – through our unions – have collectively won new laws that have lifted our wages, have given us more rights to organise and fight, and have secured the future of our manufacturing industry.

That is the power of the union.

Peter Dutton voted against us every single time. He will always back business and profit over workers and wages.

Nurses at Calvary Mater Hospital are holding another ‘Lunch-time Rally’ to coincide with the increasing industrial actions being taken by the NSWNMA.

We are demanding fair and equitable conditions for our nurses and hospital and will not stop fighting until we get the Ratios funding we deserve.
