We have five clinics and numerous outreach sites across NSW, providing best practice care for every body in every family. As well as face-to-face healthcare, we offer telehealth se

rvices, a Talkline, Pregnancy Help Line and an extensive health promotion service. In Newington, Sydney, we have a licensed day procedures unit. Our diverse business is trusted to deliver accredited education programs for professionals across Australia and undertake rigorous research and evaluation into issues and trends in reproductive and sexual health. Our international development program advances sexual and reproductive health and rights in the Pacific, and we advocate as a non-governmental organisation with United Nations consultative status. Family Planning Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation responsible to a voluntary board of directors and we rely on government funding, donations and self-generated income to provide our services. We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Our government funding comes from the Federal and NSW governments, as well as Local Health Districts. Founded in 1926, we are the oldest family planning service in Australia.

🌸Talofa!🌸

We're proud to partner with the Samoa Family Health Association to deliver the Bridging the Gap: Contraception Demand and Access for Young People in Samoa project.

Earlier this month, we worked with an inspiring group of young people to build research and communication skills and supporting them to actively shape the project through the co‑design of the Talanoa interview questionnaire.

These interviews will gather insights directly from young people in Samoa on their needs, experiences, and priorities related to contraceptive demand and access - ensuring their voices directly inform the design phase of project.

This week is Youth Week 2026 – celebrating the theme, Dream. Dare. Do. 🎉

Our Health Promotion team has been out in the community connecting with young people at events across the Inner West, Penrith and the Blue Mountains.

We’ve also been running Youth Week activations in all our clinic waiting rooms - sharing resources, starting conversations, and making sure young people can access the information they need.

We’ve loved creating safe, welcoming spaces to chat about relationships, consent, sexual health, and wellbeing, supporting young people to feel confident, informed and empowered 💬
