Zen Reflections

During the past month, I have been given a life lesson,
that has prompted me to make a difficult but important decision,
for my future.
The outcome of that decision is … I will be closing my business –
Zen Reflections on the 17th of February.

Over the past 20 years, I have had the honour of working with
many women, and some men, who have trusted me with
their deepest and most difficult challenges in life
and their wellbeing.

This work has been both humbling and rewarding for me
and I will miss the friendships and soul connections,
the Reiki healing, and the energy balancing, and watching the transformation unfold for so many strong and courageous people.

I am so very grateful to have had time with you, and as you move through your life expressing the unique colours of your soul,
I wish you peace, tranquillity, and happiness.

How very special is this photo.

Mum's are our carers and our protectors and will keep us under their wing until we grow our own wings. However, her wings will always be there to give us a hug, especially during difficult times.

When those wings are gone ... They are sooo missed and our own wings need to become stronger to care for and protect ourselves.

If your mum's wings are not there to hug you today, give yourself a hug with your strong wings.

Today's reflection:

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was a few meters from the finish line, but got confused by the signals and stopped, thinking he had finished the race.

The Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening in front of him, began shouting for the Kenyan to keep running.

Motai did not know Spanish and did not understand.

Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
One reporter asked Evan, "Why did you do this?" Evan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have the kind of community life that pushes ourselves and others to win as well."
"But why did you let the Kenyan win?" the reporter insisted. Evan replied, "I didn't let him win, he would win. It was his race."

The reporter insisted and asked again: "But you could have won!"

Evan looked at him and replied, "But what is the merit of my victory? What is the honor of this medal? What will my mother think?"

Values ​​are passed on from generation to generation.

What values ​​do we teach our children and to what extent do they inspire others to earn them?

Most of us take advantage of people's weaknesses rather than helping to strengthen them.

A powerful message to reflect on. 🤔

A violinist played for 45 minutes in the New York subway. A handful of people stopped, a couple clapped, and the violinist raised about $30 in tips.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. In that subway, Joshua played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before he played in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out a Boston theatre, and the seats averaged about $100.

The experiment proved that the extraordinary in an ordinary environment does not shine and is so often overlooked and undervalued.

There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who aren’t receiving the recognition and reward they deserve. But once they arm themselves with value and confidence and remove themselves from an environment that isn’t serving them, they thrive and grow.

Your gut is telling you something. Listen to it if it’s telling you where you are isn’t enough!

Go where you are appreciated and valued.
