Perimenopause and menopause bring significant hormonal changes, and for many women that means the exercise that used to work simply doesn’t deliver the same results anymore.

Fluctuating and declining oestrogen levels can affect everything from metabolism and muscle mass to bone density, recovery times, energy levels and more.

A big congratulations to Caitlyn Haynes for her recent success at the national under 16s Newmarket Racers Relay! Winning gold in the 100 metre and silver in the 50 metres (beaten only by 0.1 seconds!) 🥇🥈

We are very proud of her commitment and privileged to guide Caitlyn on her winning way. To see any athlete's technical skills improve and attitude towards sport start to peak is such a pleasure. Moments like these are what makes physiotherapy worth it!

Each session is designed to build your understanding of how your body works when you run, and provide specific strength and stability training that will translate into better running mechanics. We’ll focus on stability through the hips, knees and ankles; control and coordination to help reduce the risk of injury; and how to better focus your power for speed and resilience.

Our accredited Exercise Physiologist Sam is also a competitive runner, with the first-hand experience and evidence-based approach to help you meet your goals.

🏃 12-week program�The clinical ‘gold standard’ for marathon preparation, allowing enough time to bridge the gap between neural gains and structural remodeling, systematically building structural tolerance before layering on maximal strength and explosive power.

🏃 8-week program �A highly effective option for runners who already possess high structural tolerance. It remains an optimal window for improving running economy and musculotendinous stiffness, making it a great choice for athletes joining us later in the season.

The program is designed to peak in intensity during the build phase and transition into a maintenance and neural priming phase as runners reaches their peak mileage and eventual race-day taper, concluding 29 June.

If you’d like to run stronger, move better and support your body for the long term, our Run Strong Program could be the perfect addition to your training.

Bobbie is stoked to know this young man and even more thrilled that he’s decided to become a physio! Jared has been a regular with Bobbie over the last few years and has just started exercise science at uni. Whether he was inspired to follow this path because of his own experience with physio or because of Bob’s top notch banter we aren’t sure. But either way, we wish him well and can’t wait to hear how he gets on. 👏
