A beautiful spring morning with perfect running and walking conditions. Congratulations to our 92 participants, and a big thank you to our volunteers.
A huge milestone shoutout to Ian Hanson on completing his 400th parkrun – an incredible achievement!
And a mention to young Max Ilett– a PB, first finish, and sub-20- all in one morning. Definitely worth the trip up to NL.

We’re Back!! See you this weekend 😁

NEWPORT LAKES CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND 😞

With a heavy heart our parkrun is cancelled this weekend.

This week the council have erected barriers informing park users that asbestos has been found (within the Arboretum). This blocks off our current trail from around the 750mtr mark.

We’re working on an alternative course but won’t have permissions/permits in place by Saturday. Once we’re ready with our alternative course we’ll inform you via facebook.

If you were planning on visiting us this weekend, Cyril Curtain and Altona Beach aren’t far away and would love to host you.

EDIT: With a heavy heart our 8th birthday party has been postponed due to asbestos being found within the Arboretum & council have blocked off our current trail. We are working on an alternate course & will keep you informed about our Birthday Celebrations!
