From Monday 1st September 2025, 4Cyte Pathology will be officially taking over pathology services right here at our clinic. This is an exciting step forward, bringing patients faster turnaround times, modern technology, and even more reliable service—all in the same convenient location you already know and trust.

And that’s not all—our much-loved pathology collector Makayla will be returning mid-September! After two years of caring for the Newport community with her warmth and professionalism, she’s coming back to continue the great service our patients appreciate. We can’t wait to welcome her back and invite you to experience this new chapter in pathology care at Newport Family Doctors.

Newport Family Doctors welcomes Dr Jamie Moore to the team from 24th March 2025, opening his books to new patients.

Dr Jamie is a warm, supportive and empathetic general practitioner who has a strong belief in bringing a bit of individuality to every consult. He can be found wearing colourful scrubs Monday to Thursday at Newport Family Doctors for new and existing patients.

Dr Jamie is a north Brisbane local having lived in the area since 2010 after relocating from northern NSW. He completed medical school at UQ in 2020 and his junior doctor training in the public system locally at Redcliffe Hospital.

Dr Jamie has worked as GP rurally in Yeppoon in central Queensland as well as here locally on the Redcliffe Peninsula and achieved Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2025. He enjoys all areas of general practice, with particular interests in geriatrics, youth mental health, paediatrics, young adult care and chronic disease management.

Outside of his medical career, Dr Jamie enjoys reading fantasy, ice hockey, motorsport, dungeons and dragons and spending time with his wife and two dogs at the beach.

Newport Family Doctors will be back open our regular business hours from Monday 10th of March, after our dragged out encounter with Cyclone Alfred.

Our practice will be closed this Friday 6th & Saturday 7th of March, as Cyclone Alfred is expected to make landfall. Safety for our team and patients is our number one priority.

We will be adding extra availability to help patients get access to a doctor, and if you need to get in contact with us after hours, please use the facebook messenger service on our page. We will endeavour to attend to anything urgent as we are able.
