Newport Family Doctors welcomes Dr Ryan Wellington- Starting today!

Dr Wellington is welcoming new patients and is available for appointments five days a week. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with families in the local community, supporting them through every stage of life with attentive and thorough care.

Dr Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MBBCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland in 2009. In 2025, he earned his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), marking his full recognition as a specialist GP in Australia. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health (2014) from The Children’s Hospital in Sydney, following three years of dedicated training in paediatrics.

With rich experience in general practice and paediatrics spanning both Queensland and Ireland, Dr Wellington brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to his consultations.

From Monday 1st September 2025, 4Cyte Pathology will be officially taking over pathology services right here at our clinic.
