Hi Everyone,
As most of you would now be aware, Newport Pharmacy will be changing hands and relocated as Chemist Warehouse Spotswood on Melbourne Rd (opposite Dan Murphy’s).
*****We can now confirm that the changeover is due to occur on TUESDAY 11th JUNE 2024*****
After over 11 years serving the Newport community, the decision was not made lightly and was on the back of our changing family and personal circumstances, along with the changing pharmacy landscape both locally and at government level. It has been a challenging 12 months since Dorothy’s health scare and now is the right time to focus our attention on family.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for your unwavering support from when we first started right up to recently with a discount pharmacy opening next door. We will miss the Newport community and hope to become involved again in some shape or form in the future.
What this means moving forward:
It is important to note, this is not a store closure but rather a relocation which means everything will be transferred to the new location and business as usual until then – nothing will be lost!
- Webster and Scripts on File Patients: for those who wish to continue there will be no changes, CW will offer free delivery for those who can’t come into the store and all scripts and medications will be transferred to the new store
- Patient History: will all be transferred across so if patients require any information in the future, you can contact the new store
- Any remaining uncollected scripts, medications, scripts arriving in post, faxed copies etc will all be transferred over to the new store and can be collected from there or posted out if patients choose so.
Finally, we would like to thank all our past and current staff who we couldn’t have done all this without. A special mention to Paola and Adrian who have been with us for the past decade and will stay on with us until the changeover.
Adrian and Emilia will be working at the new store so there will be some familiar faces during the transition.
