In any genuine relationship, true love means appreciating both someone’s presence and their absence. It’s about being able to live with them and also live without them, because a healthy relationship always has clear boundaries and respects personal space. These boundaries are like the immune system of relationships, keeping them balanced and healthy.
When we talk about attachment, we say: “Whoever relies on people will be humiliated, whoever relies on their own mind will be confused, whoever relies on their wealth will find it diminished, but whoever relies on God will never be humiliated, confused, or diminished.” In other words, if you want to lose someone, guarantee their presence at all times without limits. But if you want to truly keep someone, ensure that your relationship is for the sake of God and grounded in that spiritual foundation.
In this way, we affirm that the healthiest relationships are those built on faith and respect, not on excessive dependence on worldly things. And that’s how we create balanced, strong relationships.
