We offer affordable health services, including bulk billed GP appointments for members, allied health services, nursing and Dental Care. We have two clinics, one in Sth Kingsville and one in Newport. Jo-Anne also specialises in Paediatric dental care. If you are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, these funds can be utilised.

Jo-Anne has been in practice for over 35 years and has an interest in:

- Endodontics
- Infection control
- Preventative dentistry

Our Story

Westgate Health Co-op is a community based Cooperative. We are owned by our members - over 9,000 of them - and governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the members. We operate two general practice clinics which are located in Newport and South Kingsville. These clinics are serviced by General Practitioners, clinic nurses, reception/administration staff and a comprehensive range of Allied Health Practitioners. Please note: Only current members can be bulk-billed for medical services. Membership fees are an essential part of the Co-op’s budget. They help cover the costs associated with operating our two clinics. We believe that the Co-op’s philosophy of membership fees provides a more equitable system of providing high-quality health care to the whole community, rather than having to charge a fee for every medical service.

Westgate Health Co-op was established in the early 1980s by committed residents in the South Kingsville/Spotswood area, in Melbourne’s west. Concerned at the lack of bulk-billing medical services in this disadvantaged neighbourhood, the residents decided to develop their own health service.
