Poor posture and tech neck 📱
Hours spent looking down at phones, laptops, and tablets can place extra strain through the neck, shoulders, and upper spine. Over time, these modern habits may contribute to postural changes and movement patterns that feel tight, fatigued, or uncomfortable.
“Tech neck” is a term often used to describe this forward head posture. When the head sits forward of the shoulders, the spine and surrounding muscles have to work harder to support it. That extra load can add up, especially across a long workday.
Chiropractic care looks at how the spine is moving and adapting to these daily demands. The focus is on improving mobility, supporting better posture awareness, and helping the body handle screen time more efficiently, rather than avoiding it altogether. (We know that’s not realistic.)
