We’re back! We couldn’t wait for the Insurers and do we’ve got the front of the practice back to normal - the back area maybe a little longer. Apart from supply chain issues things here are essentially normal. Can I say on behalf of the staff and my family that the support has been truly humbling. Amazing that so many out in the community offered help or messages of support in so many ways - even strangers dropping in. Professional colleagues have been great to lean on, just not sure what Dr Brendan Cronin meant by supplying the sign “Paddy, next best thing”! Stay safe everyone and look forward to seeing you soon.

FLOOD UPDATE:
Works continuing at Brisbane’s Favorite Waterfront Optometry Practice. A big thanks to the boys at CAS Brick and Pressure Cleaning for sending boys down to do the big job of cleaning the back spirts area with the artificial grass. Newstead Sailing Club and Optometry is still open if you need to collect your specs or contact this week. Stay safe and dry everyone.

PRACTICE FLOOD UPDATE:
Update for Newstead Sailing Club and Optometry. Brisbane’s favourite waterfront Optometry practice has had decent mud in and will be closed for 2-3 weeks due to restoration and avoiding mould. Very sorry to all for the inconvenience. The good news is we have two awesome Optometry Practices that you can go to if the matter is urgent and I will organise referrals. The are great practices and have awesome Optoms and staff. They are Mark Hinds Optometrists in Tenerife - ph 3358 6566 and David Foresto Advanced Optometry in Spring Hill - ph 3831 2900. Hi all. As we thought today’s high tide has bot been our friend and no access again and expecting more mud inside. So again really sorry but unlikely to be open before the end of next week. Hopefully we’ll see you all soon at the newly renamed Newstead Sailing Club and Optometry 😄😄😄

PRACTICE FLOOD UPDATE:
Due to the amount of water and mud in the practice we will be closed for consultations for the rest of the week - sorry! I am expecting tomorrow morning’s high tide to bring a similar level of water (and mud) into the practice and so clean up won’t start until Wednesday. Hopefully back at it in full swing on Thursday. We’ll keep you posted if the delay will be longer. Thanks again for so much generous offers to help and everyone’s support and understanding.

Hi all, it looks like we’ll be out for a week and the phone lines etc will be out so sorry if we don’t answer you straight away. Sorry for any inconveniences but Mother Nature has had her way. Specs and Contact Lenses can be collected at low tide (😀😀) but we can’t process payments, unless they are made with red wine. Stay safe everyone and we’ll keep posted!
