'The day that I stop learning will be the day that I retire.' I am a physiotherapist, strength & conditioning coach, PhD student, and a passionate distance runner. Despite publishing research pertaining to the cervical spine, my true passion lies within the assessment and treatment of running-related overuse injuries. As a competitive distance runner myself, I feel that I am able to optimally position myself to better understand both the inner workings and psychology amongst my fellow runners, all shapes and sizes. Through combining my current research - looking at how the brain and central nervous system controls human movement - with my background in strength & conditioning, I am able to offer greater insight into not only minimising the pain associated with overuse injuries, but further identify and fix the underlying cause(s) which has led to the injury in the first place. This is the essence of successfully managing running-related injuries. I aim to return my clients back to running in the shortest, yet safest amount of time possible.
