Let’s talk sleep 😴

First question—are you really getting enough??

There’s so much chat around sleep these days, but before we dive into sleep stages, latency, or efficiency, the first thing to look at is simply the time you allocate to rest.

If you go to bed at midnight and need to be up by 5am… it’s not enough sleep.

Most of us need between 7–9 hours each night. If we’re consistently falling short, our body is under stress—affecting digestion, hormone balance, mental wellbeing, and so much more.

So, let’s start simple. Let’s just try to increase the time we’re actually in bed.

👉 This week, head to bed just 30 minutes earlier than usual.
👉 See if you can edge it earlier each night to claw back some extra sleep.

That’s exactly what I’ve been doing over the last month—and not only has my sleep improved, but I’ve found myself reading more too 📚✨

Over the next few weeks, I’ll share more handy sleep hints so we can all work together on improving our rest and our lives.

On International Dog Day we celebrate our loyal four-legged friends 🐾

They’re our emotional support pooches, our goooood boys and girls, with their biiiiiig stretches, loving gazes, and that endless, unconditional love. In my case, with Eddie… his stinky t***s too!

Dogs are healers at heart ❤️—always ready to hold space for us, lift us up with their antics, and remind us of joy when we need it most.

Today, let’s honour them with gratitude.

Getting a regular skin check is one of the simplest yet most important steps you can take to protect your health.

Melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer, can often be treated successfully if it’s found early.

A professional skin check helps detect any suspicious spots or changes that you may not notice yourself.

This is me today - following my routine 6 monthly skin check yesterday picked up a spot that needed to go!

If you are looking for a recommendation in Toowoomba - Darling Down Skin Cancer Centre in Neil Street is our go to.

Both .rae and I have had melanoma in the past two years - so we don’t muck about with this stuff.

What an beautiful night spent in the presence of and my dear friend .koehler ❤️

I walked away with a heart full of gratitude, a head buzzing with wisdom, and some perfectly timed reminders about what it truly means to live well and thrive 🌿

No doubt I’ll be weaving some of these golden insights into the studio over the coming weeks — I can’t wait to share them with you all!
