This week, we took the opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of minimizing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and to test our knowledge with the AMR Week Quiz. It was fantastic to see so many people participate and complete the quiz with all the right answers!
As part of the celebration, we encouraged everyone to wear light blue in support of AMR awareness.
As a thank you, Boronia and Abelia enjoyed some delicious Donuts, while Cassia won some fun Lolly Bags!
A huge thank you to everyone who participatedātogether, weāre helping to spread awareness and reduce AMR. Letās continue the good work and keep practicing responsible use of antibiotics.

From colourful scrubs to cheesecakes and cupcakes, our staff and patients came together to celebrate the power of connection. We shared conversation starters, enjoyed a vibrant morning tea, and reminded each other that asking āAre you OK?ā can truly make a difference.
R U OK? Day is tomorrow ā and South Eastern Private Hospital is getting ready to start meaningful conversations.
We know that asking āR U OK?ā can be a powerful first step ā but sometimes it helps to have a few gentle prompts to get the conversation flowing.
Our team has shared a few conversation starters to inspire connection and show support. Swipe through to see how weāre preparing to check in with those around us.
Letās make tomorrow count. You donāt need to be an expert ā just someone who cares enough to ask and listen.

Honouring Indigenous Wisdom in a Digital Age
Aurora Healthcare Australia proudly joins the global community in commemorating the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples on 9 August.
This yearās theme, āIndigenous Peoples and AI: Defending Rights, Shaping Futuresā, invites us to reflect on how emerging technologies can both empower and challenge Indigenous communities. Artificial intelligence holds promise for preserving ancestral knowledge, revitalising languages, and improving access to culturally safe healthcare. But without ethical safeguards, it risks reinforcing bias and digital exclusion.
At Aurora Healthcare, we recognise the deep cultural, spiritual, and ecological wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their knowledge systems have sustained communities and Country for tens of thousands of years. We believe that healthcare must honour this legacyānot just in words, but in practice.

Today, we stand with the Cancer Council and communities across Australia to mark Daffodil Day ā a day to reflect, remember, and renew our shared commitment to those affected by cancer.
At South Eastern Private Hospital, we are privileged to support patients through every stage of their journey. Our dedicated Day Oncology Unit provides compassionate care throughout treatment, while our rehabilitation programs offer tailored support to help individuals regain strength and confidence in the months that follow.
May the daffodil continue to symbolise the courage of those facing cancer and the hope we hold for a brighter tomorrow.
