This week, we took the opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of minimizing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and to test our knowledge with the AMR Week Quiz. It was fantastic to see so many people participate and complete the quiz with all the right answers!

As part of the celebration, we encouraged everyone to wear light blue in support of AMR awareness.

But without ethical safeguards, it risks reinforcing bias and digital exclusion.

Their knowledge systems have sustained communities and Country for tens of thousands of years. We believe that healthcare must honour this legacy—not just in words, but in practice.

Today, we stand with the Cancer Council and communities across Australia to mark Daffodil Day — a day to reflect, remember, and renew our shared commitment to those affected by cancer.

At South Eastern Private Hospital, we are privileged to support patients through every stage of their journey. Our dedicated Day Oncology Unit provides compassionate care throughout treatment, while our rehabilitation programs offer tailored support to help individuals regain strength and confidence in the months that follow.

May the daffodil continue to symbolise the courage of those facing cancer and the hope we hold for a brighter tomorrow.
