Meet Somayyeh Atagazli : pharmacist, owner, IBCLC, and the heart behind Pharmacy 777 Nollamara.

Som spent 4 years working towards her Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) qualification after she had her first son, the highest and most rigorous breastfeeding credential in the world. But her motivation wasn't just professional. It was deeply personal. She has now practised as a IBCLC for 8 years.

Som faced her own breastfeeding challenges as a mother. She knows the exhaustion, the guilt, the doubts and second guessing, the 3am moments where everything feels impossible. She knows that when breastfeeding is hard, it doesn't just affect mum , it ripples through the whole family, touching mental health, relationships, and confidence in ways nobody warns you about.That's exactly why she did the work. So hopefully no mother in community would have to figure it out alone.

But Som's vision goes beyond lactation. As the leader of Pharmacy 777 Nollamara, she has built a team of like-minded health professionals who share her belief that community pharmacies can and should do more. She actively seeks out practitioners who are willing to dare to offer services that aren't mainstream in pharmacy, but are genuinely needed by the people walking through the door.

A clinical counsellor. A psychologist. A functional medicine practitioner. A sleep apnoea consultant. A hair loss consultant. A compounding lab. A play and connect group. A Pet Club. A skin cancer screening clinic.
None of these are typical. All of them are intentional. 💙

This is what happens when a pharmacist refuses to accept the status quo — and builds something the community actually deserves.

Look at who visited us today! Twelve years ago, little Steph was one of the very first kids to come along to what is now our Play&Connect Playgroup Pharmacy777Nollamara which was led by Pharmacist and Lactation Consultant, Som. Today she's 16. 🥹

We've watched her grow up right here at Pharmacy 777 Nollamara.

Play & Connect started as a simple idea, to bring Nollamara parents together, give them a safe space to meet other families, and make sure there's always a pharmacist in the mix for when the real questions come up.

It has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

We encourage our patients to move more, so we do it ourselves. Walk, jog, or run — there's no wrong pace, just keep moving.
