Nothing can quite describe that feeling when you first plunge into the ice! ❄️🤪💥

But after a few seconds something interesting happens…suddenly a sensation of warmth surrounds your body. You find your calm, you tell your mind that you are safe through your breath 👃🌬

And as the 2 minutes roll on, you can feel it…presence ⌛️A mind that isn’t thinking of the future, or remembering experiences from the past

In this presence is where joy, love & peace are found 💙

Richy taking us through an easy cool down, before we lie down to Breath 🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏽

After getting a sweat on during the group workout, we ventured back to our yoga mats and did 5 minutes of stretching to calm our mind & loosen up any tension in our bodies 😌

It was a super easy stretching & mobility routine that we can now all use whenever we few tight or stressed throughout the day 🙌

Why the ice? 🤔

Firstly, there’s the physiological benefits 💪
👉 Cold exposure reduces inflammation, relieving any aches, pains or sickness you may have throughout the body
👉 It also increases the production of adiponectin, which is a protein that accelerates fat burning
👉 It FEELS insanely amazing after you get out! (Big hit of dopamine!) 😁🚀

But the reason we include it as an essential activity in the Cool Calm Collective Experience is the phycological effects 🧠

Actively controlling your breath and find calm during an ice bath is the most effective way we can increase our STRESS THRESHOLD.

What does that mean? It means after this, you’ll begin to find those things that would normally annoy or stress you out (like being stuck in traffic, or something someone said) DON’T have an effect on you…you become more COOL, CALM & COLLECTED in everyday life

If you can find your calm in the ice, you can find it in ANY situation that life throws at you 💯

Other than that it’s just FUN! 😄 everyone getting around each other & supporting each other grow as humans!!! 💙
