🤝 Meet Dr Jake Samuels 🤝
Dr Jake completed his dental training at The University of Queensland in 2012 and began his career as a Dental Officer in the Australian Army, providing care to remote communities and on ADF operations overseas. In 2020, he completed his specialisation in Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology at UQ. Since then, he has worked across private practice, Queensland Health, and Defence.

At Quantum Medical Imaging, we provide a comprehensive dental imaging service, including CT of the facial bones, CT Dentascan, MRI of the TMJ, OPGs, and TMJ X-rays. Our radiologists can assist with orthodontic planning, implant planning, third molar scans, orthognathic surgery, pathology, and TMJ/TMD studies.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and their twin daughters.

From 1 July 2025, eligible Aussies at high risk can access a low-dose CT scan every 2 years under the new National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

Meet Dr Chris Newman – our newest radiologist at Quantum Medical Imaging!

Chris brings extensive expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, with training at Alfred Health (Melbourne) and a fellowship in Vancouver. He currently works across both public and private practice, including at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and is passionate about men’s health, medical education, and global outreach. Chris actively mentors students and junior doctors, and contributes to research with multiple peer-reviewed publications.

Outside of work, he enjoys family time, sport, travel, and exploring new cultures. We’re proud to have Chris on the team!
