So many people are living in survival mode and believing that it’s normal.

They end up running on empty, pushing through, crashing… then doing it all over again. Understanding your nervous system and your window of tolerance is the key to breaking the cycle.

Can you relate to the feeling of pushing past your window of tolerance? Let me know in the comments 👇🏻

Most of us weren’t taught how to cope with emotions - we learnt by watching our caregivers.

We learnt through their tone of voice (or their silence) and how they reacted during emotional situations.

If you notice yourself reacting in ways you don’t love when emotions run high, it isn’t a failing - it’s often just a learned pattern.

The good news is that what’s learned can also be unlearned.

If you’d like some support unpacking those patterns and building healthier ways to respond to big emotions, reach out for a free 15-minute chat.

Can you relate to this?

Whilst there may have been some glaringly obvious things that you were struggling to cope with, after a diagnosis you may start to notice all of the ways that you’ve been quietly coping by adjusting your environment or behaviours.

This could look like:
✨ Eating from specific plates and cutlery
✨ Only eating safe foods
✨ Controlling lights and sounds in your environment
✨ Working from home or starting your business so you can control the pace and flow of your day
✨ Saying no to social events so you don’t feel overwhelmed
✨ Looking up food menus before you go out so you can feel prepared
✨ Buying multiples of a shirt you love because of the fabric and fit

Whilst we don’t want to change any beautiful neurodivergent brains, there are ways that we can help to expand your window of tolerance so you can cope better when things aren’t in your control.

Have you ever found that talking about your anxiety didn’t help it go away?

When it comes to high stress events or trauma, talk therapy can only help so much.

EMDR is a somatic therapy that works with your nervous system to help process trauma and high stress events, without the need to endlessly talk it through.

Book your EMDR therapy session now on my website (link in bio).

Here are some of the ways you can work with me in 2026.

From individualised 1:1 support to free resources that anyone can access, you’ll find what you need to put your self-care ideas into practice.

You can find the links to each of these supports in my bio, or you can DM me if you’re not sure which is right for you.

We don’t talk enough about the grey areas - the places where two things can be true at the same time.

You can love your family AND feel overwhelmed by them.
You can adore your kids AND find school-mum dynamics exhausting.
You can care deeply about your job AND feel like burnout is creeping in.

When these conflicting feelings live side by side, it’s easy for anxiety and stress to ramp up, sleep to get messy, for your body to start playing up through mood or gut health.

If this feels familiar, you’re definitely not alone.

These are the exact conversations I love having with my clients - gently unpacking the ‘both/and’ instead of forcing a neat answer where there isn’t one.

If you’re sitting in a grey area right now and want support navigating it, you know where to find me, reach out to me today 🧡

You might think that you’ll get the best outcomes if you book with the therapist who has the most qualifications, awards or the longest waitlist, but it’s actually about something simpler than that…

✨ The vibe ✨

And yes, that’s scientifically proven!

Being a lived experience therapist, empathy, compassion and non-judgement is a core part of how I practice.

I started my journey on the other side of the couch, so I know how important it is!
